Job description

Site Planning Manager - $175,000-$200,000, based on experience

Anaheim, California | Onsite | Relocation Available

Do you know how to keep a complex manufacturing operation moving when priorities shift quickly? Can you lead people, make strong plant-floor decisions, and bring planning, materials, production, and customer delivery together around one clear plan?

Note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, also known as a green card holder.

The company is willing to relocate the right person to Anaheim, California. Candidates must be able to work onsite and either live within commuting distance or be open to relocating.

The role

A confidential search is underway for an experienced Site Planning Manager to join a growing global manufacturer with a highly technical production operation.

This is an operations-focused manufacturing leadership role, not a traditional corporate planning position. You will be close to the action, working directly with manufacturing teams to support production execution, materials flow, customer delivery, inventory health, and overall plant performance.

This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys partnering directly with manufacturing teams, solving operational challenges, and driving execution in a fast-paced plant environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the site planning team
  • Build a culture focused on ownership, communication, and results
  • Partner with manufacturing leaders to align schedules with customer commitments
  • Coordinate planning across production, materials, purchasing, warehousing, and logistics
  • Identify operational risks early and help solve issues before they affect production
  • Balance customer demand, plant capacity, inventory goals, and material availability
  • Lead planning meetings and keep teams aligned as priorities change
  • Improve planning processes, service levels, and manufacturing execution
  • Use planning tools and ERP systems to support practical decision-making
  • Work with senior leaders on growth plans and operational improvements

Why this opportunity

The business operates in a complex, technical production environment where planning directly affects plant efficiency, customer satisfaction, inventory health, and day-to-day execution. The team is looking for a credible manufacturing leader who can build trust across departments and get results through people.

The Benefits

The package includes:

  • Annual performance bonus opportunity of approximately 15%
  • Relocation assistance for qualified candidates
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement program
  • Paid vacation and company holidays
  • Long-term career growth within a global manufacturing business

The person

You will need a bachelorโ€™s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field, along with around 10-15 years of progressive experience supporting manufacturing operations.

Candidates should have a demonstrated history of leading planning, materials, production control, supply chain, or manufacturing operations teams within a complex manufacturing environment.

You should also bring:

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive results through people
  • Solid knowledge of production scheduling, inventory management, materials planning, and customer fulfillment
  • Sound judgment and confidence making decisions in a fast-moving plant environment
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Experience working within ERP or enterprise planning systems is preferred, including platforms such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar solutions.
  • Experience in aerospace, electronics, industrial manufacturing, medical devices, automotive components, precision manufacturing, specialty materials, advanced composites, or other technically advanced manufacturing environments would be especially relevant.

Whatโ€™s next

If you are ready to lead planning where it truly matters โ€” at the heart of a complex manufacturing operation โ€” please apply today.
