  • Scheduler / Planning Engineer

Position Summary

The Scheduler / Planning Engineer will support capital projects and technical initiatives within regulated pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing environments by developing, maintaining, and coordinating project schedules and planning activities.

This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills to support schedule development, progress tracking, resource planning, look-ahead activities, and schedule reporting across multiple projects and workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules supporting capital projects and engineering initiatives.
  • Support schedule planning activities including logic development, milestone tracking, sequencing, and look-ahead planning.
  • Coordinate schedule updates, progress tracking, and schedule reporting activities.
  • Support identification of schedule risks, conflicts, delays, and resource constraints.
  • Assist with tracking project priorities, deliverables, dependencies, and execution timelines.
  • Support resource loading reviews and planning coordination activities.
  • Participate in project meetings and support communication of schedule status, risks, critical activities, and recovery actions.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineering, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to support schedule alignment activities.
  • Support preparation and maintenance of project planning documentation, trackers, reports, and schedule records.
  • Assist with schedule analysis and continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and project execution activities.
  • Ensure planning and scheduling activities are performed in alignment with applicable project procedures and governance expectations

Additional Requirements

Ability to work on-site in the eastern region of Puerto Rico. Must be eligible to complete client-required onboarding, training, and site access requirements. Ability to work effectively within fast-paced and highly regulated environments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting project scheduling, planning, or project controls activities.
  • Familiarity with schedule development, progress tracking, milestone management, critical path concepts, and planning coordination activities.
  • Experience supporting capital projects, engineering projects, construction activities, manufacturing projects, or technical programs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with scheduling and planning tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Planisware, SAP, Smartsheet, or similar systems is preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish, including reporting, documentation preparation, and coordination with project stakeholders.
  • Ability to support multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously within fast-paced environments.
