Job Overview

As a growing CPA firm, we are seeking a Tax Manager who shares our commitment to precision, innovation, and exceptional client service. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on collaborative leadership, values long-term client relationships, and is passionate about helping businesses achieve their financial goals alongside a dedicated team.


Duties

  • Manage a portfolio of clients across diverse industries, serving as their primary point of contact for tax planning, compliance, and strategic financial guidance
  • Review individual, fiduciary, partnership, and corporate tax returns prepared by staff, using UltraTax CS and the Thomson Reuters product suite
  • Lead proactive tax planning conversations with small business owners and individuals to support their long-term financial goals
  • Mentor and develop interns and staff accountants in partnership with firm leadership, including reviewing work, providing feedback, and supporting CPA exam progress
  • Partner with firm leadership on practice development, process improvement, and client growth initiatives


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA designation is preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of public accounting experience required, with at least 1 year reviewing tax returns
  • Strong working knowledge of UltraTax CS, QuickBooks (Online and Desktop), and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines simultaneously
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs (approx. 5-10%, primarily within CT and RI)
