Job description

About the role

We're looking for an exceptional go-to-market leader to own growth strategy and execution across Crunchyroll's UCANZ region (United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) - Crunchyroll's most mature and strategically critical region.

As VP, Go-To-Market (UCANZ), you'll lead the regional growth agenda across subscriber acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue. Operating at the intersection of strategy, product, content, analytics, and operations, you'll shape how millions of fans discover, engage with, and stay connected to Crunchyroll while driving sustainable business growth.

This is a highly visible leadership role with significant business ownership and influence across the organization.

Core Areas of Responsibility
  • Own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy and performance across the UCANZ region
  • Drive subscriber growth, engagement, retention, and revenue across all major growth levers
  • Define regional priorities, market strategies, and investment plans to maximize business impact
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on market dynamics, competitive trends, growth opportunities, and performance
  • Translate global priorities into regional strategies and execution plans that drive measurable business outcomes
  • Align senior leaders across functions, creating clarity, commitment, and momentum around regional priorities and growth initiatives
  • Drive decision-making in complex, fast-moving environments by bringing structure to ambiguity and translating competing priorities into actionable plans
  • Build alignment and influence outcomes across a highly matrixed organization, often without direct ownership of the teams responsible for execution
  • Lead large-scale cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, Content, Analytics, Operations, Lifecycle, and Commercial teams
  • Own regional GTM budgets and investment allocation, optimizing resources across markets, channels, and growth opportunities
  • Establish clear KPIs, performance frameworks, and operating rhythms to drive accountability and execution
  • Build executive-level business reviews, strategic recommendations, and growth plans informed by data, consumer insights, and market dynamics
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence

We are considering applicants available to work a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite at our Los Angeles office.

What You'll Bring
  • 15+ years of executive leadership experience driving growth and go-to-market strategy within consumer subscription, streaming, media, gaming, technology, or entertainment businesses
  • Proven success owning and scaling growth across large, complex businesses, regions, or consumer platforms, with accountability for growth, engagement, retention, and revenue performance
  • Deep understanding of the UCANZ media and digital ecosystem, including subscription and direct-to-consumer business models.
  • Experience developing regional growth strategies, including market prioritization, investment planning, and resource allocation across markets, channels, and growth levers
  • Recognized for sound business judgment and the ability to influence executive decision-making on growth opportunities, competitive dynamics, and strategic trade-offs
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders, align diverse teams around a common vision, and establish the operating rhythms, planning processes, and performance frameworks needed to drive execution at scale within complex, matrixed organizations
  • Track record of leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, Marketing, Content, Analytics, Operations, and Commercial teams
  • Expertise in full-funnel growth, including user acquisition, lifecycle marketing, CRM, retention, and product-led growth
  • Experience leading go-to-market strategy for major product launches, content initiatives, or consumer experiences from planning through execution and optimization
  • Significant experience managing budgets, forecasting performance, defining success metrics, and optimizing investments to maximize growth, efficiency, and business outcomes
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate data, market insights, and customer behavior into business decisions and growth opportunities
  • Experience operating in global organizations across multiple markets and time zones, with exceptional executive presence and communication skills
  • Experience building and developing high-performing teams and leaders
  • Passion for anime, entertainment, or fandom-driven businesses is a plus
About the Team

Crunchyroll's continued global expansion is driven by strong regional execution and integrated growth strategies. The GTM & Planning team partners closely with U.S.-based leadership and regional teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that scale Crunchyroll's footprint and deepen fan engagement across its owned platforms and ecosystem.
