JOB SUMMARY:
The Revenue Management Analyst will be part of Norwegian's Revenue Management team maximizing the yield performance of the sailings in the assigned markets. The position is crucial to achieving Norwegian's annual revenue goals.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maximize the net ticket revenue of the sailings in the assigned markets by formulating and implementing various revenue management strategies and tactics based on demand and supply.
  • Constantly monitor changes in inventory across all distribution channels, analyze key reports, review price recommendations from the revenue management system, and track competitive landscape.
  • Translate findings into optimal recommendations and pricing actions as it relates to inventory control and tactical promotions with a combination of upper management directives, data analytics, and market knowledge.
  • Manage inventory to successfully fill every sailing to capacity at the highest possible price.
  • Develop strategic pricing for the deployment of new sailings.
  • Actively work with other team members, share market experience, perform data analysis, and review with the upper management.
  • Perform other job related functions as assigned..
EDUCATION:
  • MBA in Business, Economics, Management Science or in a similar quantitative area or any equivalent combination of relevant background, skills, and experience
EXPERIENCE:
  • 2 to 4 years experience involving pricing, revenue management, and data analytics/reporting..
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • High motivation to learn and ability to grasp new concepts quickly
  • Must have excellent analytical, problem-solving and collaborative skills
  • Must be detail oriented, and possess excellent decision-making abilities under uncertainty
  • Excellent working knowledge of a data querying tools such as Hyperion and Business Objects
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced Excel skills to create complex formulas, scenarios and pivot tables
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report findings and present strategic and marketing recommendations to upper management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Must work well under pressure, and with limited direction and documentation
  • Familiarity with travel/cruise industry and reservation/revenue management systems
  • Knowledge of travel, leisure, or cruise industry is preferred
