JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, People Excellence Systems Reporting is responsible for leading the design, development, and governance of HCM reporting and analytics solutions. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, Payroll, and business leaders to deliver accurate, scalable, and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. The position oversees reporting operations, data integrity, and a team responsible for HR reporting (including advanced, composite and matrix reports, dashboards, discovery boards and SQL).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the HR reporting strategy, including dashboards, advanced reports, composite reports, matrix reports and discovery boards.

  • Manage and mentor a team of HRIS reporting analysts, ensuring high-quality delivery and continuous development.

  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions.

  • Establish and enforce data governance, reporting standards, and audit controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Oversee the design and optimization of data models, including calculated fields, data sources, and integrations impacting reporting.

  • Drive automation and self-service reporting capabilities for HR and business users.

  • Support critical initiatives such as implementations, enhancements, audits, and year-end processes.

  • Monitor reporting performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE:

Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY:

Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ years of proven experience in HRIS with strong expertise in Workday Reporting.

  • 5+ years of mastery in Workday Core HCM plus one to two additional functional areas such as Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Learning, etc. with experience supporting reporting domains.

  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.

  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of managing technical teams or leading large scale Workday implementation workstreams.

  • Experience providing strategic consulting and working with senior HR leadership.

  • HRIS Reporting background with other systems like PeopleSoft, SAP, MAPS and/or OneView.

  • Prior HRIS Reporting experience for a publicly traded organization with a large workforce preferred.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Workday HCM Reporting to include Advanced, Matrix and Composite reports and calculated fields, and a deep understanding of how Core HCM data architecture impacts downstream analytics. Expertise in Excel formulas and experience with SQL.

  • Expert in building dashboards and discovery boards through Workday.

  • Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders with clarity and empathy.

  • Passionate at solving problems, taking initiative, and providing recommendations for improvement and innovation.

  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations to improve reporting processes and strategies.

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align reporting to business priorities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Continuous improvement and innovation mindset.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

  • Workday Pro HCM Core and/or Workday Pro HCM Reporting certification desired
