Job description

Cross Domain Systems Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:

Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution.

As a Cross Domain Systems Engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape customer missions by leading an engineering team in the development and deployment of digital cross domain solutions. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technological solutions. You will lead customer engagement to capture, define, and understand user and security requirements, decompose hardware, software, interface, and security control requirements, coordinate with stakeholders throughout system development and fielding activities, coordinate and plan system integration, and test and deployment. You will support efforts to accredit systems following the Risk Management Framework. You will help plan security improvements to systems and team processes to address Raise the Bar (RTB) Cross-Domain security objectives. You will lead efforts to plan, design, and implement cross-domain data flows, help users understand and define their data schemas, and help define and validate appropriate data handling and filtering policies. You will lead efforts to plan and provide user training and drive user adoption of the new systems. On our team, you'll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like Cross Domain technologies, Cloud technologies, Agile lifecycle, and cybersecurity.

You Have:

  • Experience developing requirements, including capability and system-level requirements, hardware, software, interface requirements, user stories, or use cases

  • Experience developing technical written deliverables for a system delivery or deployment effort

  • Experience with online collaboration and work tracking tools such as Atlassian Suite, including Jira or Confluence and ServiceNow

  • Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework and how it applies to system accreditation

  • Ability to plan systems delivery and deployment efforts, including developing technical plans, schedules, resource allocations, and risk tracking

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and 5+ years of experience in engineering, or 12+ years of experience in engineering in lieu of a degree

  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Certification within 6 months of start date

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with system testing, configuration management, and installation

  • Experience with Agile lifecycle methodology

  • Experience with Cross Domain Systems (CDS) and RTB requirements for CDS

  • Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure

  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD

  • Knowledge of DoDAF or MBSE

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
