Maintenance Technician - Affordable Housing

Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff by ensuring the physical integrity of the property.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance duties as assigned by the Superintendent in accordance with company policies and all applicable regulations (OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, and other federal, state, and local laws)
  • Maintain knowledge of utility shut-offs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers, and hydrant locations
  • Assist with all aspects of property maintenance, including interior and exterior upkeep, custodial tasks, preventative and corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs
  • Repair structural wear and damage to buildings
  • Perform groundskeeping and landscaping duties
  • Maintain cleanliness of parking areas, sidewalks, hallways, and common areas
  • Prepare vacant apartments, including painting and general readiness
  • Service and repair appliances, plumbing, electrical systems, and other equipment

Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of full-time maintenance experience
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow within the role
  • Strong communication skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse population
