Join the Northeast Residential team! We are looking for caring, self-motivated individuals to fill our Program Coordinator position. Program Coordinators provide individualized, high-quality care in safe and healthy environments.

As a Program Coordinator with Northeast Residential Services, you are part of a team providing 24/7 support and supervision to adults with developmental disabilities and Autism in their homes. Your efforts enable them to live independent, meaningful, and productive lives. Following individualized protocols, you will assist residents with community integration, activities of daily living, and developing independent living skills. The program coordinator works under the supervision of the Program/House Manager. Performs administrative and direct care responsibilities for the assigned program. This role reports directly to the Program/House Manager. The position requires weekend availability, to assist in the absence of the manager

We provide you with the necessary training to ensure your success as a Program Coordinator here at Northeast Residential Services, and all initial and continued training hours are paid at your normal daily rate.

Program Coordinator Responsibilities Include:

  • Serves as primary mentor and trainer to all direct support professionals. Assists manager to complete orientation checklist for all new hires. Ensure DSPs receive all necessary training and support. Leads by example and presents as a positive role model to all staff.
  • Contributes to staff performance reviews, corrective actions, and bi-weekly staff supervision under the guidance of the manager.
  • Participate in weekly agency meetings when on shift, weekly supervisions with direct manager, and daily communication of program or client needs with manager and team members.
  • Ensures daily documentation and any incident reports (GERs) are completed by all staff with accuracy and quality in Therap. Completes weekly HCBS notes.
  • Ensure completion of all assigned aspects of the monthly program audit while submitting it to the manager.
  • Assists with oversight of program menus, groceries, and supplies.
  • Assists with program callouts and coverage while keeping schedules and timesheets updated under managers supervision, when on shift.
  • Completes daily MAR, bubble pack checks, weekly medication cart audits, and monthly MAR configuration ensuring updated orders are attached under the supervision of the manager.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years old
  • Have a high school diploma or the equivalent
  • Must possess a valid Maine Driver's License, with a clean driving record
  • Must pass criminal, APS and CPS background checks
  • Certification as a Direct Support Professional
  • Certification as a Certified Residential Medical Aide (CRMA)
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid
  • Certification in the current physical crisis intervention strategy
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in MS Outlook, email, and clinical software
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English
  • Ability to drive agency vehicle where applicable
