Lincoln Land Community College is seeking part-time, non-benefited Lab Assistants for the Associate's Degree Radiography Program to instruct first year RAD students in radiographic positioning and procedures that are covered in RAD 103, RAD 104, and RAD 105. The Lab Assistant's portion of the listed courses is conducted in the laboratory setting.
Lab Assistants will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Demonstrate radiographic procedures with emphasis on patient positioning, anatomy, proper exposure technique, pathology, and image evaluation.
  • Supervise all lab competency performances.
  • Conduct clinical site visits as needed.
  • Provide feedback to students and program staff as needed.

Pay will be $30.00 per hour. Work schedule will vary depending on course enrollments and students' needs.
The Paid Leave for All Workers Act allows part-time employees to earn 1 hour of PTO for every 40 hours worked. For more information on this benefit, please visit IL Department of Labor, PFLA Act.
Position Requirements
Lab Assistants must possess an Associate's Degree in Radiography from an accredited Radiography school; a current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration; and a current active licensure from IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety. Three years of full-time experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred.
