Job description

Crescendo Senior Living is looking for a full time caregiver. If you love Assisted Living and have a heart for seniors, we'd love to meet you! We are an assisted living community conveniently located in Placentia California. Only qualified candidates will be entertained.
Summary:
Administers care in the community, assists multiple residents by performing assigned tasks, and assists any caregiving personnel when necessary by performing the following duties.
Specific Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing Resident services and other duties as assigned. Duties include personal services, activities of daily living, social-recreational activities, life enrichment, meal services, and other tasks as needed for Resident care and service delivery.
Primary Essential Job Duties:
  • Administers care to numerous residents in accordance with established plans of care or communicated by the wellness director, administrator, or other community personnel.
  • Communicate with the Wellness Director regarding all client’s status, maintenance or supplies, and personnel issues, concerns, or suggestions.
  • Reviews, updates, and maintains Caregiver’s notes on a daily basis.
  • Adheres to and conveys the philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Residents.
  • Performs duties listed on the Caregiver’s log sheet regarding all client’s status and care.
  • Assists with activities of daily living/ADLs, while encouraging self-care and independence.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Utilizes proper body mechanics consistently in accordance with training procedures, transfers, and ambulates residents in a safe manner.
  • Puts Resident Service First: Ensures that Residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.
  • Assists with individual Resident and group social recreational activities.
  • Arrives before shift to perform a “handover” exchange of information regarding the status of the client, reviews of notes, convey messages and memos to be updated by outgoing Caregiver, and follow procedures.
  • Maintains security of residence according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Participates in training programs as required.
  • Evacuate the client from the residence safely and rapidly if necessary, in an emergency.

Job Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one year experience in working with older adults as a personal care assistant is required.
  • Twelve (12) plus years of education preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 18 years old, or older if required per the state regulations.
  • Meet continuing education requirements and certifications on job classification and position, including state requirements.
  • Ability/willingness to perform all position responsibilities adequately.
