Primary Activities and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Operations functions of the insurance premium finance division in a safe, sound, and profitable manner.
  • Oversee all accounting related functions.
  • Control cost and operating losses.
  • Maintain conformity with all regulatory, insurance, bank, and management policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Monitor daily production to ensure that all tasks are completed within prescribed time limits.
  • Set departmental goals that are measurable in terms of improved productivity, expense control, and operating efficiency.
  • Prepare management reports which communicates key metrics related to the departments under your management purview, including the effectiveness of the department as measured by volumes processed per FTE, protocols and deadlines met.
  • Overall management of vendor relationships.
  • Train, develop, and retain a highly proficient operations staff to run departments under your supervision.
  • Keep informed of premium finance industry developments, announcements and trends, which affect the PF division and the bank through trade and other publications, outside conferences, meetings and visits.
  • Resolve more complex work problems.

Secondary Activities and Responsibilities:
  • Set benchmarks for all measurable processes.
  • Develop departmental goals and objectives. Set individual goals and objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Bank President.

Minimum Requirement:
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in P&C insurance with a minimum of 5 years in a management level position. Knowledgeable of all applicable insurance and banking rules, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in computer software systems.
  • Leadership ability and the ability to motivate direct reports.
  • Excellent communication and team building ability.
  • The incumbent must have a strong commitment to providing outstanding operational support services to both internal and external customers.
  • Business degree with a major in accounting or finance (equivalent work experience would be considered), MBA preferred
  • Provide quality operational support services and accounting expertise to the department.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance and banking regulations, bank policies and procedures, and safety and security procedures.
  • Manage Operations: Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Meet the individual goals and objectives set by the President.
