Job description

Yamaha Motor Finance - US has an exciting opportunity for a Leasing Relationship Sales Specialist II. The position is responsible for interacting with Yamaha Sales Channels to coordinate transactions and handle daily functions of maintaining the lease portfolio. They will help ensure customer satisfaction, the position holder will be expected to be proficient in many areas of the Financial Services operation to include, but not limited to deal structuring, documentation, and systems support in a very fast-paced environment. Additionally, they will ensure that all Commercial Finance programs and structures are set-up correctly to drive new business. They will act as a key stakeholder in varying projects that impact the Commercial Finance business as well as develop and train Direct Sales staff and distributors on Commercial Finance products.
What you'll be doing:
  • Provide relentless customer service and follow-up in the onboarding of customers to the Yamaha Product Groups, OEM Partners, and Yamaha Financial Services.
  • Generate lease quotes, working closely with YGC sales staff to customize each pay structure along with generating contracts
  • Process credit applications and perform credit due diligence within designated authority. Entails working with applicants and sales channels to obtain all necessary documentation.
  • Expert user for key commercial systems including but not limited to: Odessa, YDS, HighGear, Workflow, DocuSign, GRM, & Solifi.
  • Process lease assumptions.
  • Train dealers/distributors on Commercial Finance programs and systems.
  • Develop and maintain familiarity with all Yamaha Product Group documents, Yamaha Financial Services documents, and policies/procedures in order to expedite the Commercial Finance onboarding processes.
  • Lead or support sales channel update meetings.
  • Provide Back-up support of Documentation team, Leasing Servicing team, and Commercial Finance management team.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Owner of assigned vendor relationships and entire customer onboarding process for assigned vendors
  • This position will have great autonomy to manage their customer relationships, lease transactions, projects, and tasks with minimal oversight from Senior Leadership.

What you need to be successful:
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • 3+ years of commercial finance, leasing or inventory finance credit underwriting, sales, business development (or equivalent experience)
  • Relationship management experience preferred with demonstrated success
  • Experience with legal documentation and leasing sales/property tax a plus
  • Systems aptitude - ability to navigate various support technology from workflow to customer relationship management to documentation recording and retention systems
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
  • Customer focus driven, self-motivated and able to multitask under pressure
  • High level of accuracy, preciseness and attention to detail are essential
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
  • Driven by success/results and self-motivated in a customer centric environment
  • Thorough comprehension of Corporate Formation documentation and structure with the ability to guide customers through Know Your Customer Requirements.
