Head of Credit Products

Socure

Seattle, WA • On-site

$285K - $310K/yr

Full-time

Re-posted 22 hours ago

Job description

Why Socure?
Socure is building the identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy - verifying 100% of good identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts. The mission is big, the problems are complex, and the impact is felt by businesses, governments, and millions of people every day.
We hire people who want that level of responsibility. People who move fast, think critically, act like owners, and care deeply about solving customer problems with precision. If you want predictability or narrow scope, this won't be your place. If you want to help build the future of identity with a team that holds a high bar for itself - keep reading.
Socure is seeking a Head of Credit Products to define and lead a new line of business focused on credit score and credit-adjacent products. This leader will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the products built on top of Socure's BNPL and CRA consortia, helping establish a differentiated credit intelligence business that extends Socure's leadership in identity, fraud, and risk decisioning.
This is a highly strategic, 0→1 leadership role for a product executive who can identify market opportunities, translate them into scalable product strategy, and drive execution across Product, Data Science, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, GTM, and Operations. The role will be central to shaping how Socure brings together consortium data, credit reporting capabilities, fraud prevention intelligence, and underwriting-oriented signals into market-leading products for lenders and adjacent financial services use cases.
The Head of Credit Products will report into Socure's Product organization led by Chung-Man Tam and will lead other product managers. This person will work closely with leadership across Core Products, Consortium Intelligence, Data Science, and Compliance to build a durable and compliant product portfolio that supports BNPL, first-party fraud, credit risk, and broader underwriting use cases.
What you'll do:
  • Define and communicate the multi-year product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Socure's credit score and credit-adjacent product portfolio, ensuring alignment with Socure's broader product strategy and growth objectives.
  • Lead the development of products built on top of Socure's BNPL and CRA consortia, with an initial focus on credit risk, underwriting, and adjacent financial services use cases.
  • Identify and prioritize product opportunities at the intersection of credit reporting, first-party fraud, identity verification, underwriting, and risk decisioning, translating market needs into differentiated product investments.
  • Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and Data teams to design scalable product capabilities, data assets, models, and feedback loops that improve risk predictiveness, product performance, and customer value.
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure product design and go-to-market execution align with FCRA, CFPB expectations, GLBA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Help shape Socure's approach to CRA formation and related productization efforts, including data segregation, infrastructure considerations, consumer disputes implications, and compliance-sensitive operating models.
  • Drive rigorous product discovery through market research, customer interviews, competitive analysis, and partner engagement to refine positioning, roadmap sequencing, and product-market fit.
  • Partner with GTM, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Solution Consulting to translate product capabilities into compelling market narratives, enablement materials, and commercial outcomes.
  • Establish success metrics, business cases, and operating KPIs for the credit products portfolio, using data-driven insights to guide prioritization, investment decisions, and product iteration.
  • Own executive-level stakeholder alignment and communication, providing transparency into roadmap priorities, tradeoffs, progress, and risks across Product leadership and company executives.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of product managers, setting a high bar for strategic thinking, execution, cross-functional collaboration, and customer impact.
  • Serve as an internal and external thought leader for Socure's credit and consortium strategy, representing the company in strategic customer conversations, industry forums, and market-facing thought leadership as appropriate.
What you Bring:
  • 12+ years of product management experience, with significant leadership experience owning product strategy and execution for complex B2B data, risk, fintech, or financial services products.
  • 5+ years of experience leading product managers or equivalent senior product leaders across a product portfolio or major business area.
  • Deep domain expertise in one or more of the following areas: credit risk, credit scoring, underwriting, lending infrastructure, credit bureau / CRA products, first-party fraud, BNPL, or adjacent financial risk products.
  • Proven success building and scaling 0→1 or early-stage products, including setting product vision, validating market demand, prioritizing roadmap investments, and launching new capabilities into highly regulated markets.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment for consumer reporting and credit-related products, including FCRA and related compliance considerations. Familiarity with CFPB expectations, GLBA, dispute processes, and permissible purpose frameworks is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience building business cases, evaluating monetization opportunities, and balancing customer value creation with revenue, margin, and long-term strategic advantage.
  • Excellent communication and executive influence skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical, analytical, and regulatory topics for diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills, with a track record of making high-quality decisions in ambiguous environments with incomplete information.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field required. Advanced degree such as MBA, JD, or equivalent is preferred.
Additional Information
  • This role is a senior product leadership hire within Socure's Product organization and is aligned to the company's investment in new product development across consortium intelligence, BNPL, and CRA-related offerings.
  • The role is intended to lead a new line of business and manage other product managers, consistent with the scope of a "Head of" product leadership position at Socure.
