About Creature

Creature is a vertically integrated Design-Manufacture-Construct (DMC) company built to eliminate the inefficiencies of traditional construction. We align design, preconstruction, field operations, and self-perform trades into one system so projects move faster, cleaner, and with greater reliability.

At Creature, the Project Manager is not a coordinator of scopes - they are the owner of outcomes.

Purpose of the Role

Lead the full lifecycle of project delivery to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance are achieved. The Project Manager exists to create alignment across teams, eliminate friction between phases, and deliver predictable, high-performing projects that meet both client expectations and Creature standards.

Core Accountability

Own total project performance - safety, schedule, quality, financial outcomes, and customer satisfaction. Serve as the primary point of accountability for both internal execution and external communication.

Key Accountabilities

1) Project Execution & Delivery Leadership

Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout with full ownership of schedule, scope, and execution. Ensure alignment across design, field, and trade partners to deliver predictable results.

2) Financial Ownership & Performance

Own project gross margin, forecasting, buyout, cost tracking, and billing. Ensure financial accuracy and proactively manage risks that impact profitability.

3) Planning, Procurement & Risk Management

Develop and maintain master schedules, lead procurement and subcontractor coordination, and identify risks early. Drive proactive problem-solving to protect schedule and budget.

4) Communication & Stakeholder Alignment

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and internal teams. Lead coordination meetings and maintain clear, consistent communication across all stakeholders.

5) Leadership, Integration & Continuous Improvement

Mentor team members, support field operations, and reinforce Creature's values. Eliminate silos by connecting Design, Precon, and Field teams, while contributing lessons learned to improve future projects.

What Exceptional Execution Looks Like

  • Projects delivered on or ahead of schedule and within budget
  • Clear, accurate financial forecasting and reporting
  • Strong client relationships built on trust and transparency
  • Seamless coordination between design, field, and trade partners
  • Proactive identification and resolution of risks before they impact outcomes

Traits That Define Success

  • Ownership over Coordination - Owns outcomes, not just tasks
  • Accomplishment over Activity - Focuses on results, not motion
  • Compelling Conscientiousness - Obsesses over details that drive performance
  • Mastery of Communication - Aligns teams through clarity and consistency
  • Accountability is Reliability - Delivers what is promised

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience in construction or design-build environments
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, cost control, and project execution
  • Experience with Procore, PowerBI, Excel, and project management systems
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Why Creature

  • Full ownership of projects within an integrated platform
  • Opportunity to eliminate traditional construction inefficiencies
  • High-performance culture focused on accountability and results
  • Career growth within a rapidly evolving building company

Creature is an equal opportunity employer. We build better projects by building leaders who take ownership and deliver results.
