Job description

About the Role

We are makers. We create because we are curious, and we believe that the best way to prove an idea works is to make it real.

As the Creative Director for Global B2B Client, you are the creative visionary and strategic anchor for one of our most critical business units. We are in the midst of a vital transformation: moving from a legacy "production vendor" mindset into a true, strategically sound creative partnership. Your mandate is to lead this shift.

You will oversee the brand narrative, executive alignment, and the visual identity across five distinct workstreams. You are not here to merely oversee an execution factory; you are here to design solutions for complex business problems. You must bring high-level narrative strategy to executive keynotes, systemic thinking to global B2B platforms, and an AI-forward approach to production efficiency. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, elevating every touchpoint to meet the "Grade"-ensuring all work is clear, human, useful, and unequivocally premium.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Transformation & Executive Partnership

  • From Vendor to Partner: Lead the strategic pivot of the client account. You must proactively challenge briefs, identify unfunded strategic opportunities, and act as a true thought leader who solves business problems through creative thinking.
  • Executive Presence: Build and maintain high-EQ partnerships with client VPs and Product Marketing Managers (PMMs). You must possess the gravitas to hold the room, present complex ideas, and negotiate creative pushback while maintaining strong peer relationships.
  • Workshop & Sprint Design: Design and facilitate creative workshops and "Design Sprints" to align internal stakeholders and clients around new brand visions and product narratives before execution begins.

Craft & Narrative Excellence

  • The Final Arbiter of Taste: Act as the ultimate quality control for aesthetic and strategic quality. Ensure all work reflects a premium, modern, and visual language.
  • Master of Narrative Strategy: Distill complex B2B product updates and data into compelling "hook, meat, payoff" story structures, specifically for high-stakes executive keynotes, global presentations, and thought leadership editorial.
  • Systemic Brand Thinking: Evolve and maintain scalable brand guidelines, UI kits, and design systems that work globally across everything from internal emails to massive B2B event visuals.

Multi-Stream Creative Oversight

  • Holistic Leadership: Provide strategic oversight across all five client's workstreams:
    1. Ads Content & Scaled Comms: Landing pages, brand playbooks, and keynotes.
    2. Partnership Marketing (ParMar): Co-branded content and nurture campaigns for 3P partners (e.g., Shopify).
    3. Thought Leadership (TwG): Editorial articles, infographics, and "snackable" YT Shorts.
    4. Partners & Rewards: High-touch agency training decks and event collateral.
    5. Ad Hoc / Incremental: Rapid-response performance marketing and GML content.
  • Direct the Makers: Lead and mentor a specialized team including Senior Systems Designers, Motion Graphics Designers, B2B Editorial Leads, Partnership Copywriters, and Presentation Designers.

AI & Tech-Enabled Efficiency

  • AI for Productivity: Aggressively implement advanced AI tools and automation into everyday workflows to draft outlines, generate visual concepts, and accelerate the localization and scaling of deliverables, proving that we operate at hyper speed.
About YouThe essentials:
  • Experience: 10+ years of creative experience with a heavy emphasis on B2B marketing, tech platforms, and digital brand infrastructure. At least 3+ years in a CD role managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strategic B2B Pedigree: You understand that B2B does not mean "boring to business." You have a portfolio demonstrating high-end strategic thinking applied to complex products, data visualization, and partner marketing.
  • Presentation & Narrative Mastery: Deep expertise in high-level presentation design and executive storytelling. You know how to structure a deck that commands a C-suite audience.
  • Client Navigation: Proven track record of turning functional client relationships into strategic, consultative partnerships.
  • The Maker Mindset: You are deeply proactive. You do not wait for a perfect brief; you find the business problem and build the solution.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Client Perception Shift: Measurably transitioning client feedback from viewing Monks as an "execution arm" to a requested strategic partner on upstream briefs.
  • Craft Quality: Elevating the aesthetic and narrative quality of client's deliverables, reducing client revisions and establishing a new internal benchmark for "Grade."
  • Operational Efficiency: Successful deployment of AI tools and systemic design frameworks that increase output volume without requiring proportional headcount increases.
  • Team Health: Fostering a culture of strategic curiosity within your team, resulting in high retention and internal advancement.
