Your role at Clorox:

The Associated Director, Integrated Strategy is responsible for ensuring strategic continuity across multiple touch points and throughout the consumer journey, including in-store, e-com, and online experiences. They are responsible for delivering thought leadership on what "superior consumer experiences" mean for each of our brands, at every moment of brand-consumer connection. Building from the brand's purpose and strategy, this role shapes the consumer experience across all marketing efforts: packaging, print, owned digital, social, CRM, e-com, paid media and in-person experiences. The role will use insights, data and analytics to help create increasingly relevant and personalized experiences that encourage engagement and action from consumers at every touch point.
The Associate Director, Integrated Strategy is the chief strategic lead within each Electro BU team to which they are assigned. This role is a senior business leader for Electro with full view of all omnichannel work, ensuring strategic alignment of work executed by channel specialists. As such they champion an integrated perspective, putting the consumer at the center of every creative expression regardless of media, channel, or format. To accomplish this mission, the AD, Integrated Strategy has a deep understanding of culture, consumer empathy and market insights, as well as a desire to uncover future trends to develop fresh, breakthrough ideas & brand stories to inspire excellent creative product.
Beyond Electro, the AD Integrated Strategy serves as a consultant and advisor to the Studio Leads on all things marketing communications-related. They are seen as an expert on the BU's business and marketing goals and what it takes to achieve them through the marketing channels including, as well as expanding beyond, those which Electro typically executes in.

In this role, you will:

Integrated Strategy Leader on Assigned BUs (80%)

  • Responsible for all aspects of integrated strategy including brand strategy, digital strategy, social strategy, content strategy, packaging strategy.
  • Partner closely with Owned Digital Engagement Manager on owned channel and CRM efforts to ensure integration across channels.
  • Drive Brief Finalization process to ensure project alignment to strategic brand omni needs and develop associated creative briefs as needed
  • Advance the Electro team's understanding of BUs' business and marketing needs and motivations
  • Shape creative presentations, partnering with other Electro Team Leadership, to deliver work to the BUs that is on-brand and on-brief and inline with superiority expectations

Strategic Thought Leadership (20%)

  • Ad hoc consultant and advisor to Studio Leads and senior BU team members on any/all marketing communications-related topics
  • Partner with external agencies as needed to advance BU education on integrated strategy topics such as process for developing brand experiences, brand strategy creation, and brief writing
  • Stay abreast of developments in the media and consumer landscape, with an eye toward changing consumer experiences and perceptions as they relate to brand engagement, AI, and emerging marketing technologies and opportunities

What we look for:

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in Brand Strategy or Strategic Planning within an advertising or creative agency, plus 2-3 years in an in-house creative or marketing environment; or 15+ years of agency experience in Brand Strategy or Strategic Planning.

  • Experience developing integrated marketing strategies across brand, digital/content, social, and print/packaging channels, with experience supporting consumer brands; CPG experience is preferred.

  • Proven ability to distill complex business challenges into clear strategic direction and develop creative briefs that inspire impactful, omnichannel marketing solutions.

  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior, cultural trends, and audience insights, particularly among multicultural, Millennial, and Gen Z consumers.

  • Strong knowledge of emerging marketing communications platforms, including AI-enabled tools, social media, and evolving digital technologies.

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, resilient, and solution-oriented approach.

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, relationship-building, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and simplify complex concepts into compelling narratives.

  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and demonstrated experience leveraging AI-powered productivity and generative AI tools in a professional environment.

  • Bachelor's degree required (or equivalent combination of education and experience); Master's degree or MBA in Marketing or a related field is preferred.

-Zone B: $144,400 - $290,300

-Zone C: $131,300 - $263,900
