Job description

The Creative Production Manager acts as the operational lead and storytelling guardian for the barre3 creative team. Reporting to the Director of Product, this role orchestrates the end-to-end production of premium digital workouts, brand marketing campaigns, and digital content that powers our omnichannel growth strategy.
As a leader, you bridge the gap between creative vision and consumer-centric digital execution. You ensure that every piece of digital content provides a seamless, intuitive client experience across platforms-serving a consumer who relies on tech-enabled flexibility to fit mindful fitness into a busy life. You partner directly with the Videographer to execute shoots, bringing a grounded, collaborative, and steady presence to the set to optimize team workflows and unlock the best, most authentic performances from our on-camera talent. Partnership with Product Managers is key to coaching Online Instructors, empowering them to reflect our mindful approach and create a seamless class experience for our consumer.
***This role operates on a hybrid schedule requiring some days per week/per month in our Portland office. Because regular on-site collaboration is required, candidates must reside within commuting distance of the Greater Portland Metro area.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Leadership, Planning & Onset Command
  • Production Strategy: Lead the full lifecycle of content production, from conceptual budgeting and resource planning through to final delivery. Proactively identify operational bottlenecks and implement best practices to increase production value.

  • End-to-End Production Management: Manage all phases of brand and campaign photo shoot production, including budgeting, scheduling, location scouting, and vendor coordination.
  • On-Set Leadership: Command the set during filming and photoshoots. Act as the primary "Producer" during shoots, managing the timeline, crew, and talent while the Videographer focuses on technical execution.
  • Photographer & Videographer Partnership: Collaborate closely with the Photographer and Videographer. While they own the lens, lighting, and camera, you own the logistics, set flow, and environment, ensuring creative vision is executed within operational constraints.
  • Vendor & Crew Sourcing: Source and negotiate with photographers, stylists, hair & makeup artists, casting agencies, and production crew. Manage relationships and contracts for freelance talent, crew, and vendors, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
  • Budget Management: Track and reconcile budgets, flagging risks early and identifying efficiencies.
  • Shoot-Day Logistics: Own all on-set operations - call sheets, transportation, catering, permits, and real-time problem-solving.

Talent, Aesthetics & Brand Continuity
  • Brand Partnership: Partner with the Director of Brand & Creative to execute on established brand guidelines, ensuring aesthetic continuity while maintaining alignment with the Product roadmap.
  • Product Curation: Collaborate with the Product and Training teams to execute on the Product Strategy and ensure a high quality of content.
  • Talent Management & Development: Manage the acquisition, assessment, onboarding, and coaching of on-camera talent. Partner directly with the Product and Training teams to mentor Instructors, manage talent releases, and provide a One-Brand Experience for the barre3 client.
  • DEI Advocacy: Champion barre3's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in every casting decision and production process.

Post-Production & Asset Operations
  • Post-Production Oversight: Orchestrate structured and efficient workflows from initial wrap to final distribution. Direct the comprehensive post-production lifecycle utilizing project management software, ensuring precise coordination of editing, sound engineering, visual grading, and motion graphics to uphold barre3's premium technical and aesthetic benchmarks.
  • Asset Management: Ensure that physical and digital studio spaces are maintained and kept camera-ready for all shoot schedules

  3. Production Budget Adherence: Percentage variance between final actual production costs and the approved conceptual budget for all projects.
  4. DEI Casting Metric: Percentage of casting decisions and production roles that reflect the company's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
