Job description

The Wellness Coordinator must be creative, innovative and have exceptional customer service skills. Thorough knowledge of principle of wellness, physical fitness, kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology. Knowledge in word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheets and other related computer software. They should possess the ability to interact with individuals of all ages. We are seeking an individual who can hit the ground running and has an aptitude for creating fun and engaging programs to enhance our current programs. The individual will assist with wellness planning and activities such as scheduled noon hour fitness, senior fitness classes and early childhood education (ECE) fitness activities and fun runs etc... This also includes planning, coordinating, and conducting fitness activities during the after school and summer programs. Instructing duties include fitness classes to improve strength, flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning for all ages. Knowledge of operations and maintenance of exercise equipment other responsibilities include assisting with building maintenance, custodial duties and security.
Requirements
Associates Degree in Physical Education or related field. Fitness Specialist and Aerobics Instructor Certification. Three years' experience in recreation, physical education or related field. Three years' experience working with special population. Must pass a background check, drug test, possess a valid Oregon Driver's License and pass driving requirement for the CTWS; obtain First Aid and CPR Certification within (6) months of employment.
