Job description

Lumen is the trusted network for the AIpowered world, connecting people, data, and applications through our expansive fiber network and connected ecosystem. We enable secure, highperformance connectivity across cloud, edge, and AI workloads for enterprises, governments, and communities.

At Lumen, you'll work on infrastructure customers rely on today and build for what's next, where performance, security, and resilience matter.

This is a high accountability environment where bold ideas drive real innovation for our customers, partners, and industry. The work is challenging, expectations are clear, and trust is built into how we operate. If you're ready to take ownership, deliver meaningful impact, and help shape the future of AIready connectivity, join us today.

The Role

Lumen is building its cloud marketplace presence, and we're hiring a Sr Lead Monetization Manager to own the strategy and end-to-end execution for landing Lumen products in hyperscaler and SaaS/ISV marketplaces.

This is a high-impact, build-it role. You will define what we sell, how we price, how we paper deals, and how we operationalize the motion. This roll will partner closely with Product, Legal, Sales, and Finance. A real-world example of what success looks like: a customer wants to use their Cloud Consumption commitment with a hyperscaler to purchase a Lumen product through that hyperscaler Marketplace.  This could be a public offer, a private custom offer, or a motion you have built that moves the customer end to end.  Building the process and flow so that there is maximum flexibility from listing, pricing, T&Cs, order flow, fulfillment, and billing reconciliation - to make it a repeatable play and drive customer efficiency.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Marketplace Strategy
    • Define Lumen's go-to-market strategy across Azure, AWS, GCP, and SaaS/ISV marketplaces
    • Identify which Lumen products to list, in what form (transactable, private offer, BYOL, consumption-based), and prioritize based on customer demand and partner economics
    • Build the business case and roadmap for each marketplace, in partnership with Product and AGT
  • Commercial & Pricing Constructs
    • Design marketplace-specific pricing models, packaging, and private-offer constructs that work for both Lumen and the partner's commit programs (MACC, EDP, Google Commit)
    • Partner with Legal to develop marketplace T&Cs, EULAs, and private-offer templates that scale
  • End-to-End Operating Motion
    • Stand up the operational mechanics: listing process, private offer creation, order papering, fulfillment handoff, billing reconciliation, and revenue recognition
    • Build the playbook so Sales, Deal Desk, and Pricing Ops can execute repeatably without one-off escalations
    • Own the partner relationship for marketplace operations at MSFT, AWS, and GCP
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Drive alignment across Product (what to list), Legal (how to paper), Sales (how to motion), Finance (how to recognize), and Pricing Ops (how to execute)
  • Year-One Success Looks Like
    • A repeatable, end-to-end marketplace motion is live across at least one hyperscaler - from listing through MACC/EDP consumption to billing
    • A prioritized set of Lumen products is listed with private-offer T&Cs papered and ready to transact
    • A documented playbook the broader org can execute against
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Required
    • 5-7 years of experience in cloud marketplace monetization, partner GTM, or commercial strategy at a hyperscaler, ISV, or SaaS company
    • Hands-on experience with at least one major marketplace (Azure, AWS, or GCP) - listing products, structuring private offers, and navigating commit programs (MACC, EDP)
    • Strong commercial instincts: pricing, packaging, and deal construct design
    • Track record of working closely with Legal on commercial T&Cs and order papering
    • Operational mindset - comfortable building processes from zero, not just strategy decks
    • Excellent cross-functional partnering skills (Product, Legal, Sales, Finance)
  • Nice to Have
    • Direct experience with Microsoft MACC private offers, AWS Private Marketplace, or GCP Private Offers
    • Background in networking, connectivity, or infrastructure products
    • Experience with SaaS/ISV marketplaces (AppExchange, ServiceNow Store, Snowflake Marketplace)
