Job description

We are in search of a Creative Production Advisor II or Senior Creative Production Advisor III to join our Marketing and Communications department in Spokane, Washington (Headquarters). This full-time position reports to the VP, Marketing and Public Relations and is responsible for leading video and visual production and maximizing storytelling through compelling content. In addition, this role leads the creation, production and deployment of video and photography assets to support business objectives. This includes developing high-quality and compelling visual and written content, including scripting, long-form editorial and digital copywriting, to help convey the core values and purpose of AgWest and elevate the stories of customers, employees and communities.

Compensation Information

The base salary range for this position in Spokane, Washington is:

Level II: 
Typical starting range: $66,200 - $88,700
Full base salary range: $66,200 - $113,600
Annual performance-based incentive target is 10% of base.

Level III:
Typical starting range: $80,000 - $110,100
Full base salary range: $80,000 - $125,200
Annual performance-based incentive target is 12% of base.

*Relocation assistance will be provided to eligible candidates who must relocate to accept this position. 

Essential Duties

  • Collaborate with AgWest marketing leaders and marketing advisors to develop strategies, work plans, standards and processes for creation, use and deployment of video and photography assets to support corporate objectives.
  • Lead video strategy in collaboration with the marketing team to implement work plans to achieve plan objectives; evaluate needs, develop creative briefs, write scripts and production plans, and draft supporting copy (headlines, captions, voiceover, interview questions, and social/web/intranet text); create budget and timeline estimates for projects, and collaborate to prioritize, approve and schedule projects and resources. Manage/review approvals, production/deployment processes to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
  • Research, write, assign, edit, proof and review scripts and content for assigned deliverables; ensure alignment with brand voice, AP Style/internal writing guidelines, and channel requirements; coordinate graphic, videography and photography production and resources.
  • Provide insight and guidance, manage agreements, budgeting, selection, and performance of external media contractors such as photographers, videographers and other media production resources to ensure quality deliverables and timely service.
  • Maximize current content and materials (across mediums) and find new, creative and strategic ways to digitize this content for various purposes.
  • Ensure continuous evolution and enhancement of media in alignment with marketplace and audience needs, marketing strategy, storytelling focus areas, social media strategy and industry best practices.
  • Manage and coordinate photography asset collection per brand standards and catalog for future use.
  • Elevate stakeholder relationships by conducting compassionate, trustbuilding interviews.
  • Serve as a member of the AgWest Storytelling team.
  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls. 

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, including overnight travel throughout the AgWest territory.
  • AgWest employees may occasionally be asked to travel for all-staff or team meetings not included in the standard travel requirements for the role.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Generally, requires seven to ten years' experience in video creative production or a related role
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, connecting long-term vision to day-to-day delivery
  • Capable of executing creative direction, navigating ambiguity and providing creative solutions in the moment, while continuously delivering a high-volume of quality visual assets
  • Experience overseeing all creative aspects of development production and post production
  • Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines
  • Experience working with a creative or advertising agency, network, streaming service or studio
  • Experience with asset management, design workflows, or partnering with creative teams
  • Strong editorial judgment, scripting, copywriting skills and attention to detail
  • Proven track record leading large-scale, multi-channel campaigns across multiple channels
  • Bachelor's degree in communications or digital media or related field or equivalent experience and/or training

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative software, primarily Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop/InDesign at an intermediate level

1. Demo reel. Share one or two demo reels that showcase your video production work. Your reel should demonstrate:

  • Strong visual storytelling, scene flow, and pacing.
  • A clear narrative arc, ideally one that moves from an engaging hook through to a meaningful close.
  • Professional editing, on-screen text or lower-thirds, and an eye for production quality.

If you contributed to a larger team project, please note your specific role in the production.

2. Scripting. Provide one or two writing samples that show your scripting ability. Acceptable examples include a full video script, a production plan or storyboard, or a voiceover and interview-question set. Your samples should demonstrate:

  • A clear production structure, including scene direction, voiceover and supporting copy.
  • Interview questions designed to draw out genuine, personal stories from real people.
  • A natural, conversational tone that connects an individual's story to a broader purpose or mission.

3. Written copy. Submit examples of your written work to show your editorial range. Include at least one of the below:

  • Short-form digital copy, such as headlines, captions or social and web text, including a sample call to action.
  • Long-form editorial or feature, such as a subject profile or story, that reflects an authentic, warm, and engaging voice.
