Job description

Basic Job Functions:

The Manager, Brand and Creative is responsible for leading the development and execution of First Solar's content and campaign strategy. This role ensures that all creative outputs-from storytelling and visual assets to integrated campaigns-are aligned with the company's brand, voice, and strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will be a strong visual storyteller and a fast learner, capable of piecing together compelling narratives that strengthen the First Solar brand. They will be extremely situationally aware, able to conceptualize and deliver content that resonates with the moment and audience. The candidate will also be a trailblazer in the use of AI to optimize both the delivery and creation of content and will serve as a gatekeeper of First Solar's brand, ensuring that all external content aligns with the company's tone, style, and message.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Design, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in content strategy, creative direction, or campaign development.
  • Experience in agency, consultancy, or in-house creative environments preferred.
  • International/multi-market experience desirable.

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience developing integrated campaigns across digital, print, and video.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible narratives.
  • Proficiency in creative tools and platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CMS).
  • Fluency in using Sitecore to design, build, and manage websites.  
  • Familiarity with AI tools and platforms for content creation and optimization.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
  • Experience creating content for policy communications, including translating complex regulatory or policy topics into accessible narratives and collateral, and rapid response content.

Essential Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Development

  • Lead the development of content strategies aligned with brand and business goals.
  • Create and manage editorial calendars and content pipelines.
  • Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and messaging across all channels.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop thought leadership content.
  • Rapidly absorb and synthesize new information to craft compelling narratives.

Campaign Direction & Execution

  • Develop and oversee integrated marketing campaigns from concept to execution.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver high-quality creative assets.
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize based on insights and feedback.
  • Ensure alignment with broader marketing and brand strategies.
  • Deliver content that is timely, relevant, and impactful.

Creative Oversight & Brand Governance

  • Provide creative direction for visual and multimedia content.
  • Maintain brand standards across all creative outputs.
  • Review and approve content and design deliverables.
  • Serve as the gatekeeper of First Solar's brand, ensuring all external content aligns with tone, style, and messaging.
  • Lead the strategic integration of LLMs into First Solar's marketing and content operations, identifying opportunities to scale creativity, personalize engagement, and optimize performance.
  • Champion the use of AI tools to enhance creative workflows and output.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, communications, product, and policy teams.
  • Support internal communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and creative partners.

Other Duties

  • This position will have direct reports.

Estimated Salary Range:

  • $99,000 - $140,000
