Divine Express is in search of an exceptionally motivated Operations Manager for our location. We are looking for a candidate with at least one year of managerial experience, a robust work history, and demonstrated organizational and leadership prowess. The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in guiding the daily operations on the road through hands-on engagement with all facets of our operation. This role involves organizing and leading activities to guarantee the safe, cost-efficient, and punctual performance of our transportation system.

The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong drive, teamwork spirit, high enthusiasm, outstanding customer service abilities, and a quick learning capacity. Experience in managing staff is a prerequisite. Reporting directly to the company owners, this role requires excellent communication skills, initiative, meticulous attention to detail, precision, and the capability to effectively oversee multiple aspects of daily operations concurrently.

  • Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee 20-25 daily routes and drivers to ensure that day-to-day processes and procedures are being executed professionally, effectively and efficiently; delegating workload when required. Administer and manage recruitment and selection, including on-boarding processes such as, new hire orientation and training of drivers. Monitor, coach and counsel employees job performance; discipline when required. Help maintain and develop employee incentive and appreciation programs. Schedule, execute and conduct staff and meetings. Manages / oversees all matters within dispatch, including, but not limited to planning and ensuring equipment maintenance, and dispatching. Controls on-time performance of routes and ensures each route is covered daily. Facilitates complaint resolution and resolving problems. Manages weekly driver schedule. Ensures overtime is controlled within budget. Maintains a positive work environment by providing all employees with fair and equitable supervision and encouraging professional and personal growth. Ensures all safety regulations are being observed and all training methods are adequate and effective. Documents employee performances, provides training, and applies appropriate discipline up to and including termination. Operations Manager has ability to make daily service related operational decisions in directing the affairs of drivers. Enforces company policies and procedures with drivers and office staff.

Strong organizational skills, the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, and strong time management skills. Must have previous management experience and ability to work well with and direct others. Must possess strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to foster open, honest two-way communication both internally and externally. Must be able to lift up to 75lbs. Must be able to work hours as required and travel if necessary. Must be prepared to cover shifts with little notice if needed. Valid Driver's License.
