Job Description Summary
The Creative Content Producer captures the Wake Forest student experience through visual storytelling. Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager (Senior Specialist), this role produces high-quality photo and video content for digital channels, websites, and publications. The Creative Content Producer works collaboratively across Campus Life departments to create authentic, engaging visual stories that elevate divisional identity and connect students to programs and initiatives.

Job Description
Essential Functions:
  • Produces and edits original multimedia content, including video, photography, motion-based assets and audio deliverables for promotional use in support of Campus Life programs, events and initiatives, meeting quick turnarounds for same-day posting and other projects.
  • Maintains a centralized library of Campus Life photography and video assets, ensuring quality control and adherence to correct file and metadata conventions.
  • Translates multimedia divisional goals into storytelling approaches and innovative visual content solutions.
  • Produces creative multimedia content that reflects the vibrancy of the student experience, for use across multiple platforms.
  • Ensures all content aligns with University brand and accessibility standards while introducing innovative, creative approaches to storytelling.
  • Contributes original multimedia content that enhances divisional campaigns and storytelling initiatives.
  • Exercises independent judgment in allocating time, resources, and focus across projects.
  • Establishes and manages the content pipeline, workflows, and planning processes.
  • Manages multimedia interns, recommending effective production practices and storytelling strategies.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent of at least two years of professional experience in videography, filmmaking, public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience and knowledge of video production, including but not limited to shooting, non-linear editing, color correction and audio editing.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to capture authentic, candid, and mission-driven content.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently; ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work flexible hours for evening/weekend coverage of student events.
  • Must be well-versed in color grading, audio mixing and creating basic support graphics.
  • Creative thinker who can balance the institutional brand and Campus Life initiatives with novel concepts.
  • Familiarity with digital media workflows and audio production equipment, including the various uses, capabilities, applications, limitations, and costs.
  • Must possess superior image-making and storytelling capabilities.

Accountabilities:
  • Works independently and collaboratively.
  • Provides direction to the Student Multimedia Team during content capture and production, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with creative vision.

Physical Requirements:
  • Light walking.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending, stooping, reaching and climbing.

Environmental Conditions:
  • Indoor/Outdoor.
  • Some exposure to weather-related conditions.
