Job description

WDAF-TV FOX4 is looking for a curious, creative Multimedia Journalist who thrives in a digitalfirst newsroom and can deliver compelling content on broadcast, digital and streaming platforms. You'll enterprise stories, own your beat, and bring fresh ideas that connect with Kansas City audiences wherever they are.

Pitch, research, shoot, write, edit and present original stories for TV, digital and streaming platforms.

Deliver engaging live reports with confidence and clarity.

Develop strong sources and produce enterprise journalism that reflects and serves our community.

Craft clean, conversational scripts and publish web stories that add depth.

Collaborate with producers and managers to elevate story framing, context and content quality.

Ensure all work meets FOX4 standards for accuracy, ethics and production value.

What You Bring:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field-or equivalent experience.

At least 2 years of onair reporting/MMJ experience (market size considered).

Strong writing, shooting and editing skills; confident live performance.

Ability to work efficiently, meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple assignments.

Comfort working across platforms and adopting new digital tools.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Willingness to work flexible hours as news demands.
