You will engage children with patience and creativity.

The Transitional/ Jr. Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing the developmental program goals of the center using a team approach, supervising the activities of children and maintaining strong professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues, while preparing the children for kindergarten. Responsibilities can include, but are not limited to the following: Plan and implement activities with your co-teaching team providing a balance between child-initiated and teacher-informed activities.

Actively engage with children to support social and emotional development. Manage classroom through positive redirection, problem-solving, and active listening. Follow routines that have been established to ensure smooth transitions.

Using DAP technics to teach alphabet and numeracy along with personal, social and emotional skills Lead small groups and collaboratively prepare learning activities with co-teacher Use a variety of activities and instructional methods (songs, stories, structured and unstructured games, art, outdoor activities etc) to motivate and stimulate children's abilities and interests Monitor children's interactions and nurture cooperation Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information (after speaking with your team) and share relevant information from parents with the team.
