Gainwell Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Drug Rebate Clerk to support State of California healthcare operations. In this role, you will review, process, track, and reconcile drug rebate documentation, claims, billing records, and transaction data to help ensure accurate and timely processing. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-focused environment and brings strong organizational, numerical, data entry, and problem-solving skills.

Your role in our mission

  • Review, verify, and process drug rebate documentation, claims, invoices, billing records, and transaction data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Validate numerical data, National Drug Code (NDC) information, claims details, and supporting documentation against reports and source records.
  • Research discrepancies, missing information, and processing issues while coordinating with internal teams and clients to support timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records, reports, logs, and supporting documentation while protecting confidential client, provider, and member information.
  • Support rebate, billing, claims, and utilization activities by reconciling data, identifying items requiring additional review, and following established procedures and service expectations.

What we’re looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent with two or more years of experience in clerical, administrative, claims processing, billing, healthcare operations, or a related environment.
  • Experience reviewing, validating, reconciling, or entering detailed numerical and written information with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with data entry, spreadsheets, business applications, and electronic documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a production-oriented environment.
  • Experience with pharmacy, Medicaid, healthcare utilization, medical claims, billing, rebate processing, National Drug Codes (NDC), or CPT codes is preferred; Pharmacy Technician licensure, registration, or national certification is also preferred.

  • This is an onsite position located at 820 Stillwater Road, West Sacramento, CA 95605, supporting State of California healthcare operations.
  • This role requires the ability to perform work in both seated and standing postions, with approximately 60% of the workday spent sitting and 40% standing.

The pay range for this position is $45,000 - $52,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
