Summary:

A Marketing Intern will work alongside the Dining Services team in the support and promotion of dining programs, events and initiatives across campus. This role is ideal for a student interested in marketing, communications or hospitality. The Marketing Intern will assist with social media management, content creations, event planning and student outreach to enhance engagement and improve the overall dining experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Create and schedule social media content promoting campus dining options and events.
  • Assist in planning and promoting on-campus food events and campaigns.
  • Learn and successfully conduct surveys to collect student feedback.
  • Design marketing materials to include posters, flyers and digital graphics.
  • Collaborate with the dining services team and student organizations to increase program awareness.
  • Monitor marketing trends and suggest creative strategies.
  • Learning and maintaining knowledge on campus meal plan, locations, and overall hospitality programs.
  • Learn and utilize the tools and technology available to complete daily tasks and projects.
  • Other marketing or hospitality related responsibilities as assigned.
  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • Strong creative vision and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills verbal and written to successfully promote and engage customers.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and basic graphic design tools such as Canva.
