Job description

Creative Dining Services is looking for multiple people to hire for Part time Cashier & Dining Room Attendant at Union University in Jackson, TN. The Cashier/Dining Room Attendant itemizes guest purchases and processes transactions of cash, credit or debit in payment. As well as keeping the dining room stocked with beverages, fruit, condiments. While also seeing that the dining room, tables, and counters are clean. Greets guests as they enter or exit the dining area with superior customer service.

Your rate of pay will depend on your experience.

Must have reliable transportation.

This is a university commercial kitchen. You will be scheduled to work at least one day of the weekend.

Core Responsibilities

  • Follows all cash handling procedures.
  • Counts back change correctly.
  • Runs a register, other devices and Credit Card Machine accurately.
  • Ensures accurate accounting of all transactions, collections and disbursements during work shift.
  • Communicates with our guests in a friendly manner.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Basic reading and math skills
  • Must be able to communicate and understand primary language(s) use by guests who typically visit the work location
  • Knowledge and ability to operate cash register and various payment forms
  • Must be able to sweep and mop.
