Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field required.
Experience:
  • Experience in marketing, communications, or a related field, with a focus on content creation and campaign execution, preferred.
  • Non-profit experience or work within mission-driven organizations preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of design applications, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
  • Strong writing storytelling, creative content development.
  • Working knowledge of social media best practices.
  • Working knowledge of analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and use data-driven insights to inform strategies.
  • Working knowledge of print processes.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to support events.

Knowledge or Certification(s):
  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and social media platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with design platforms, including Adobe and Canva, required.
  • Photography skills, preferred.
  • Knowledge of donor databases (e.g., CRM) is a plus but not required.
Job Duties:
  • Works closely with Program Directors and Managers to execute an agency-wide communications plan and timeline, campaigns, events, and content updates, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, to engage target audiences, including donors and stakeholders.
  • Produces high-quality agency and program materials, including website content, social media posts, email newsletters, donor communications, and collateral, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
  • Collaborates with contractors and vendors for design, printing, and other marketing needs.
  • Implements communications initiatives, ensuring timely execution across all platforms.
  • Monitors campaign performance and uses data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve results.
  • Maintains and enforces brand standards across all communications channels and materials, ensuring a professional and cohesive public image.
  • Seizes opportunities for free publicity through writing press releases, initiating and coordinating media opportunities, and building relationships with media partners.
  • Provides general support for special projects as needed to advance organizational goals
