About the Role
We're looking for an Associate Creative Director who knows how to lead with vision, execute with precision, and still keep things fun along the way. You've got the instincts of a storyteller, the eye of a designer, and the ability to guide teams through the highs and lows of the creative process without breaking a sweat (or at least without letting it show).
You'll help shape the voice, look, and feel of the brand; whether it's a scrappy shoot, a tightly orchestrated product launch, or a big seasonal campaign. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the creative development of assigned brand campaigns, product launches, ambassador content, and integrated marketing across all channels.
  • Concept and execute across a wide range of formats: paid advertising, short-form content, brand social, retail, packaging, and everything in between.
  • Partner closely with the Creative Director to translate business goals into standout creative-strategically sound, visually arresting, that drives the brand forward.
  • Guide designers, copywriters, and content creators through briefs, creative reviews, and final delivery. Give clear, constructive feedback and lead the charge in unlocking their best thinking.
  • Own projects from concept through production, collaborating with internal and external partners along the way.
  • Help maintain and evolve the visual identity, brand voice, and creative standards across every touchpoint.
  • Present ideas clearly and confidently to cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Stay tapped into culture, trends, and what's next-putting the brand in culture and culture in the brand.

Skills and Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in brand, advertising, or in-house agency teams, with a focus on lifestyle, outdoor, or consumer goods preferred.
  • Strong portfolio of work that shows off your creative range, storytelling chops, and hands-on execution.
  • Can effortlessly switch between high-level thinking and roll-up-your-sleeves building.
  • Fluent in design principles, creative strategy, and campaign thinking.
  • Excellent communicator, collaborator, and team builder.
  • Unshakable under pressure, always solution-oriented.
  • Passion for the outdoors, great brands, and work that leaves a mark.
  • And most importantly: you believe in living free, chasing bold ideas, and building with heart.

Why Turtlebox
  • Join a fast-moving team rewriting the playbook on outdoor audio.
  • Work with passionate people who believe in grit, hustle, and having a good time.
  • Competitive pay, performance bonuses, and equity options.
  • Join Us in Houston: this role is based in our Houston HQ, where the spirit of adventure is part of our daily routine. We're looking for candidates who are local or willing to relocate (with assistance provided) to join our dynamic team.
