Job Description
The Associate Creative Director (ACD) is a strategic, visionary creative leader who plays a critical role in shaping the VITAS Healthcare brand. Working closely with the Senior Director of Creative and senior marketing leadership, the ACD is responsible for concepting and executing bold, compelling creative across all touchpoints - digital, print, video, and experiential, while ensuring alignment with business objectives, brand positioning, and audience needs. The ACD provides creative leadership to a team of designers, writers, and multimedia specialists, driving innovation, mentoring talent, and fostering a high-performance creative culture rooted in empathy, storytelling, and excellence. Must be able to commute to the Miramar, Florida office 4 days (Monday- Thursday). Work from home on Fridays
All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with VITAS Healthcare Corporation's policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments, and governmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Leadership & Vision
  • Lead the development of big ideas and integrated campaigns that resonate with audiences and support organizational goals.
  • Serve as a key strategic partner to the various VITAS teams such as Business Development, IT, etc. as well as the marketing team centers of excellence: strategy, content, and digital marketing.
  • Oversee concept development, art direction, and execution across print, digital, video, social, and environmental mediums.

Strategic Alignment
  • Translate brand strategy into creative strategies that drive results and strengthen VITAS' position in the marketplace.
  • Collaborate closely with Strategy, Digital, and Content teams to ensure cohesive and effective messaging.

Team & Project Oversight
  • Manage and mentor mid-level and junior creatives, providing direction, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Review and approve creative work, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Support prioritization and resourcing of creative projects based on impact and urgency.

Brand Stewardship
  • Help evolve the visual identity of VITAS while maintaining consistency and brand integrity.
  • Champion new formats, platforms, and techniques to modernize the brand's creative expression and creative growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Present creative concepts and strategies to senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
  • Engage with internal clients and cross-functional teams to gather insights and shape creative briefs.

Executional Excellence
  • Participate hands-on in high-priority creative execution as needed-especially in high-visibility campaigns and key brand initiatives.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and innovations, bringing fresh thinking to the team.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Experience
Required:
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in a creative role, with 8-12 years of experience in a leadership or associate director-level position.
  • Proven expertise in developing 360-degree campaigns across channels and formats.
  • Experience mentoring and managing designers, copywriters, or other creatives.
  • Expert-level skills in Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with video and motion tools (e.g., Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
  • Expert-level skills in Office Communications Tools and familiarity with presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote, AI presentation tools).
  • Visionary creative thinker with exceptional visual and conceptual storytelling skills.
  • Adept at balancing hands-on creative execution with high-level strategy and leadership.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and persuasion.
  • Confident decision-maker with excellent time management and organizational abilities.

Preferred:
Healthcare or mission-driven brand experience.
Education:
Master's degree in graphic design, visual communications, art direction, advertising, or related field required.
