) Activities Assistant
Location: Country Lane Manor | Keosauqua, IA
Country Lane Manor is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to support our Activities Department and enrich the emotional, social, and recreational well-being of our residents. This role works closely with the Director of Activities to provide engaging, resident-centered programming that enhances overall quality of life.
Position Details
  • Status: Part-Time
  • Pay Rate: $14.00-$14.50 per hour
  • Schedule: Flexible hours, typically 1:00 PM-5:30 PM or 1:00 PM-7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
  • Support residents' emotional, recreational, and social needs on an individual basis
  • Assist residents with personal tasks such as writing letters, making phone calls, and registering to vote
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and progress
  • Assist with mail delivery, escorting residents to activities, pet and plant care, newsletters, fundraising initiatives, and facility announcements
  • Facilitate creative and recreational programs including crafts, painting, and group activities
  • Help implement activities that promote entertainment, communication, relaxation, and creative expression while supporting residents' social, psychological, and spiritual well-being

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior experience working with elderly or disabled individuals preferred
  • Long-term care experience is a plus
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
