What is a creative coordinator?

Creative coordinators support the marketing or advertising departments of a company. Their job duties include managing the departmental calendar, monitoring the current marketing projects to ensure it is on schedule, processing expenditures, and coordinating vendors. As a creative coordinator, you work closely with the marketing and sales managers to develop an understanding of the scope and expectations of the project. You keep track of each phase, making sure everyone has the supplies they need to complete their tasks. The qualifications you need to pursue a career as a creative coordinator include a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field, and several years of industry experience.

What does a creative coordinator do?

A Creative Coordinator supports the creative team by organizing projects, managing timelines, and ensuring smooth communication between departments. They help oversee the development of marketing materials, advertisements, or campaigns, making sure that all creative assets align with brand guidelines. Creative Coordinators often handle administrative tasks, schedule meetings, and assist in brainstorming sessions. Their main goal is to keep creative projects on track and ensure deadlines are met.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a creative coordinator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Creative Coordinator, you need a strong background in project management, visual communication, and a relevant degree in design, marketing, or a related field. Familiarity with creative software like Adobe Creative Suite, project management tools such as Asana or Trello, and digital asset management systems is typically required. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams are essential soft skills. These competencies ensure projects are delivered on time, align with brand standards, and foster seamless teamwork within creative departments.

What are some common challenges creative coordinators face when managing multiple projects simultaneously?

Creative Coordinators often juggle several projects at once, which can make prioritization and time management challenging. Balancing creative demands with deadlines requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly with both creative teams and stakeholders. Additionally, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and feedback is essential for keeping projects on track and ensuring high-quality work. Collaborating across departments and managing resources efficiently are also key to success in this role.

Job description

Description

Are you looking for a job where the work you actually want to do - growing an audience, running campaigns that perform, and creating design work you're proud to share - makes a real impact?

At GrapeTree Medical Staffing, we connect nursing and allied healthcare professionals with the nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other healthcare communities that count on them. Every campaign you run helps support real patient care. You'll own our social presence, run digital advertising across social and Google, manage the job postings that bring new talent to us, help bring our employee programs to life, and design creative that makes people stop scrolling.

If you like variety, ownership, and seeing your work make a measurable difference, this job is for you!

Here are the details:

You'll join a close-knit marketing team responsible for strengthening the GrapeTree and CareEvo brands, engaging our key audiences, and supporting company growth. Because we're a lean team, you'll have real ownership over your core work and the flexibility to jump in and support your teammates when the moment calls for it. This role combines creativity, communication, project management, and digital marketing skills to help bring campaigns, content, and company initiatives to life.

Location(s):

Our corporate office is located in Milford, Iowa. We work and live where others vacation! We offer the option to work full-time onsite, hybrid, or full-time remote based on your location.

Onsite: Team members can choose to work full-time onsite at our corporate office.

Hybrid: Our hybrid option allows team members to work 3 days at home and 2 days in the office each week. Thursdays are considered to be a universal onsite day for all employees within a 40-mile radius of headquarters.

Remote: Based on a candidate's location, this position can also be offered as a full-time work from home opportunity.

Schedule:

As a Marketing Specialist, you can expect to work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm CT.

Wage:

This is a salary position that pays $45,000 annually

Wages are received weekly, with the option to earn it sooner with Instant Pay!

Total Compensation View:

Medical Insurance: premium as low as $16.59 per week

Basic Life Insurance: $50,000

401k: up to 4% employer match

Bonuses/incentives: numerous opportunities.

A day in the life:

The core of your role - what you'll own:

Social media and audience engagement: Create content and manage our presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more; and truly engage, from responding to comments and monitoring conversations to staying on top of Google reviews.

Digital advertising: Plan, run, and optimize paid campaigns across social and Google, watching performance closely and adjusting to get the most out of every dollar.

Recruitment marketing: Own our presence on Indeed and other job boards, writing and optimizing postings that help the right healthcare professionals find us.

Graphic design and creative: Produce graphics, digital content, presentations, and video that look sharp and stay on brand.

Employee programs: Help plan and bring to life the events and initiatives that keep our team connected.

Where you'll pitch in - team support as needed:

Because we're a small team, everyone lends a hand outside their lane from time to time. In this role, that might look like:

Supporting email marketing and company communications
