POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager of Studio & Multimedia Production oversees the creative direction, development, and delivery of high-quality multimedia across digital, print, motion, and interactive platforms, while also leading the operations and utilization of the ABCD Production Studio. This role is responsible for end-to-end studio management, including booking, client servicing, and overseeing the production of all studio-based assets. In addition to producing creative work, this role supervises and mentors the Multimedia Designer, ensuring deliverables meet brand standards, client needs, and project deadlines. The Manager serves as a strategic partner to clients and cross-functional teams, guiding creative vision, managing studio operations, delegating execution, and maintaining accountability for the quality and timeliness of outputs, including the production of the ABCD podcast.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creative Production & Direction:
  • Design, create, and develop high-quality multimedia including advertising, sales materials, packaging, web and digital assets, proposals, identity materials, and products.
  • Build out original concepts and ensure brand consistency to position ABCD & Company as a creative thought leader in the market.
  • Oversee and review work produced by the Multimedia Designer(s), providing clear creative direction and feedback. Contribute to hands-on design for complex or high-profile projects.
Studio Operations & Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ABCD Production Studio, including scheduling, booking, and utilization.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external studio usage, ensuring a high-quality client and team experience.
  • Develop and maintain processes for studio workflows, setup, breakdown, and production readiness.
  • Ensure studio equipment is maintained, functional, and aligned with production needs; coordinate upgrades or enhancements as needed.
Asset & Resource Management:
  • Create, organize, and maintain graphics, photography, and video assets while establishing best practices for asset management.
  • Coordinate resources with the Chief Creative Officer, Managers, and Operations Coordinator; delegate tasks to the Designer to balance workload and meet deadlines.
Client Servicing & Studio Experience:
  • Serve as a thought partner to clients by curating ideas, implementing creative strategy, and advocating industry best practices.
  • Represent Creative Services in client meetings; assign and review Designer contributions for client-facing deliverables.
  • Manage client interactions related to studio use, from initial inquiry through execution and delivery.
  • Partner with clients to understand production needs and translate them into effective studio experiences and outputs.
  • Ensure a high-touch, professional experience for all studio clients, aligned with ABCD & Companyโ€™s brand and service standards.
Podcast & Original Content Production:
  • Oversee the production of the ABCD podcast, including planning, recording, editing, and distribution.
  • Ensure consistency in quality, format, and brand alignment across all podcast episodes and original studio content.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop content concepts and production schedules.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
  • Lead collaboration with marketing, research, sales, innovation, and events teams to ensure creative deliverables meet strategic needs.
  • Serve as the primary creative liaison with internal stakeholders; gather requirements, delegate tasks, and review Designer outputs.
Interactive & Web Design:
  • Provide recommendations on multimedia/communications design, content, and features for interactive and web development projects.
  • Oversee Designer contributions to ensure usability, accessibility, and brand alignment.
Project & Production Leadership:
  • Manage creative projects end-to-end, including gathering requirements, marshaling resources, defining timelines, storyboarding, and developing creative output.
  • Delegate tasks to the Designer, ensuring accountability for final deliverables.
  • Lead internal and external production projects from conceptualization to finalization.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
  • Provide expertise in visual design and champion new and innovative ways to advance company growth.
  • Mentor the Designer on emerging tools, techniques, and trends; encourage experimentation within the team.
Culture & Leadership:
  • Uphold the culture and integrity of the agency by leading by example.
  • Supervise and mentor the Multimedia Designer, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive creative environment aligned with ABCD & Companyโ€™s mission and values.
Onsite Event A/V Production:
  • Perform additional creative and strategic tasks as assigned by leadership.
  • Manage A/V procurement processes, including development and issuance of RFPs, vendor evaluation, bid leveling, and final selection in alignment with project goals and budget.
  • Lead onsite A/V production for live events, serving as the primary point of contact between ABCD, vendors, and venue technical teams.
  • Call the show from the production booth or backstage, managing cues, transitions, and timing across all technical elements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Film Production, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in multimedia, design, or creative production, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in design, video, motion graphics, and digital/interactive media.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and core multimedia tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, XD, Premiere Pro, and Microsoft Office; strong working knowledge of 3D/rendering and staging mockup platforms such as SketchUp, Blender, Cinema 4D, and CAD; and experience with video/audio production equipment and Resolume Suite for on-site AV content formatting, technical specifications, and playback support.
  • Knowledge of file formats, optimization for web/print, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Strong project management skills: ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to lead client conversations, present creative strategy, and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience mentoring and coaching creative professionals.
  • Innovative mindset and curiosity to stay at the forefront of design and multimedia trends.
WORK LOCATION & SCHEDULE:
  • This role is in-person, with a typical schedule of Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM, unless otherwise required by the supervisor to complete necessary job functions.
  • Travel requirements: 15-20% annually.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
  • Salary Range: $90,000 - 115,000 (commensurate with experience)
