To thrive as a Creative Advisor, you need a strong background in design thinking, branding, marketing strategy, and often a relevant degree in design, marketing, or communications. Familiarity with creative software such as Adobe Creative Suite, project management tools, and digital marketing platforms is typically expected. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities set standout advisors apart. These skills are crucial for developing innovative solutions, guiding creative teams, and delivering impactful results for clients or organizations.

How does a Creative Advisor typically collaborate with other departments during a project?

A Creative Advisor often acts as a bridge between the creative team and other departments such as marketing, product development, or executive leadership. They participate in brainstorming sessions, provide feedback on concepts, and help ensure that creative solutions align with business objectives and brand guidelines. Effective collaboration involves clear communication, adaptability, and the ability to translate creative ideas into actionable recommendations that other teams can implement. Building strong relationships across departments is key to overcoming challenges and achieving cohesive project outcomes.

What is a Creative Advisor?

They collaborate with teams to refine ideas, enhance creative direction, and ensure the final output aligns with the desired vision and goals. Creative Advisors often have extensive experience in the creative industry and use their knowledge to inspire innovation, solve creative challenges, and improve overall project quality.

Job description

At Haus, we believe the best creative work happens when smart, curious people are given room to think big and make things together. We're looking for a Creative Director who brings both strategic depth and a genuine love for craft. Someone equally comfortable shaping the vision for a campaign and rolling up their sleeves to get it made.
This isn't a hands-off role. You'll be a creative partner to clients, a mentor to your team, and a key voice in defining what great work looks like at Haus.
Requirements
What you'll do:
  • Lead creative development of digital experiences from concept through execution, ensuring the work is both strategically sound and beautifully made
  • Partner with clients as a trusted creative advisor: articulating ideas clearly, building confidence, and moving the work forward
  • Mentor and guide designers and other creatives, fostering a culture of curiosity, craft, and accountability
  • Collaborate closely with strategy, development, and production to bring ideas to life in ways that are innovative and achievable
  • Help shape Haus's creative voice and standards across every project we touch

What you bring:
  • 5+ years of experience in design or creative direction, with a strong portfolio spanning digital experiences, campaigns, or interactive work
  • A strategic mind: you understand how creative decisions ladder up to business goals, and you can articulate that connection clearly
  • Proven experience leading and growing creative teams
  • Fluency in modern design tools like Figma and Adobe CC Suite; working knowledge of responsive design, HTML/CSS, and how digital products are built
  • A collaborative spirit and low ego-you care more about the work being great than about being right
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and defend creative decisions with clarity and conviction

Benefits
We're a digital design studio in Los Angeles built on the belief that creativity and technology are better together. Our team is diverse, multidisciplinary, and deeply invested in the craft. We work with brands across industries, from emerging startups to household names, on projects that push what digital can do.
If you're looking for a place where your ideas are heard, your growth is supported, and the work actually matters-we'd love to meet you.
The estimated compensation for this position is $90k-$150k per year, plus a 401k, medical, dental, vision, life and optional benefits, paid time off, fun events and more.
