This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in HR, Benefits, or related domains, with a specialization in disability accommodations strategy, policy design, or program management.
  • Experience in interpreting and implementing United States disability accommodations laws and regulations (e.g., ADA, PWFA) and federal/state compliance frameworks at a policy and best practice level.
  • Experience leading cross-functional HR initiatives and program rollouts (e.g., system integrations, vendor agreement, or service delivery transformations).

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree, Juris Doctor (JD), or professional certification (e.g., SPHR, CRC, CDMS).
  • 7 years of experience in HR, Benefits, or related domains, with a specialization in disability accommodations strategy, policy design, or program management.
  • Experience with strategic partner and vendor management, auditing performance to drive operational excellence.
  • Experience advocating for accessibility and partnering with employee groups.
  • Familiarity with emerging statutory regulations and state-specific accommodations trends (e.g., CA/WA safety, RI menopause regulations).
  • Excellent investigative skills with the ability to evaluate complex program metrics.

As the Global Accommodations Lead, you will take on a critical strategic role tasked with leading the organization's global accommodations program. This role requires deep technical expertise in accommodations compliance, best practices, and strategic program execution. You will be the primary architect for global accommodation frameworks, ensuring policies and programs remain compliant with evolving international legal statutes (e.g., Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Equality Act), and partnering directly with Legal and Employee Relations to navigate complex scenarios. This role requires extensive cross-functional collaboration across Accessibility, Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS), Legal, and People Operations to deliver a seamless experience and drive best practice innovation aimed at ensuring Google maintains accessible workplace.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
  • Architect global accommodation frameworks and translate complex legal statutes into actionable internal policies.
  • Ensure policies and programs meet global regulatory requirements (e.g., ADA, Equality Act) to maintain technical compliance.
  • Act as the ultimate escalation point for highly sensitive or legally complex accommodation requests, partnering directly with Legal and Employee Relations to mitigate risks.
  • Orchestrate efforts across cross-functional teams, including IT, Facilities, Benefits, and Legal, to ensure seamless employee experiences.
  • Drive systemic program improvements, such as standardizing global medical review processes, implementing accessibility technologies, and developing specialized training.
