Job description

Title: Director of Salesforce Application - 100% remote
Position: FTE
Location: 100% remote ( must be able to work EST time zone)
Base Salary: $175-200k + bonus

The Director of Salesforce Application will lead a team of software engineers in developing and implementing Salesforce-based solutions within Sales, Service, and Community Clouds. This role involves managing development activities across various agile teams, mentoring staff and consultants to meet job expectations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects.

Essential Duties/Key Responsibilities:

Salesforce Strategy:

  • Lead the formulation and management of our organization's overarching Salesforce strategy to ensure it aligns with our primary business objectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand organizational goals and translate these into specific Salesforce initiatives.
  • Drive the ongoing development and refinement of our Salesforce environment, adapting to meet our evolving needs.
  • Analyze user feedback and system performance to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Keep abreast of the latest Salesforce features, updates, and industry trends to fully leverage the platform for our organization's benefit.
  • Work closely with senior management and external consultants to develop a strategic plan for the sustained development and maintenance of Salesforce.
  • Create comprehensive plans that prioritize projects in alignment with our broader mission and goals, ensuring effective implementation.
  • Proactively investigate and adopt new Salesforce technologies and integrations to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related field is preferable.
  • At least 5 years of team management experience and 10 years in IT software development.
  • Experience in Agile environments.
  • Knowledge of security concepts and proficiency in GitHub and CI/CD environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Confluence and Jira is beneficial.
  • Preferred experience with Salesforce Commerce/Cloud Craze and Salesforce Development (Apex, Lightning, Flows, Validation Rules, Approval Rules, and SOQL).
  • Experience in integrating Salesforce with third-party applications.
  • Strong presentation, leadership, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and work independently with attention to detail.
