Crawlers, also known as web crawlers or spiders, are automated programs or bots that systematically browse the internet to collect and index information from websites. They are commonly used by search engines to discover and update web pages in their search results. Crawlers help ensure that search engines provide users with the most current and relevant information available online. They follow links from one page to another, gathering data such as page content, links, and metadata. This process is essential for organizing the vast amount of information on the web.
