Job description

CDR General Services is seeking an experienced Lattice Boom Crane Operator to join our shipyard operations team near Donaldsonville, LA. The ideal candidate will safely operate lattice boom cranes to move heavy materials, equipment, and structural components throughout the shipyard while supporting vessel construction, repair, and maintenance projects. Candidates must have strong attention to safety, excellent communication skills, and prior heavy lift experience in industrial or marine environments.

Responsibilities
  • Operate lattice boom cranes safely and efficiently in a shipyard environment
  • Lift, move, position, and place heavy materials, steel, machinery, and ship components
  • Perform pre-operational inspections and routine equipment checks
  • Interpret load charts and follow lift plans accurately
