Job Description: We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Field Sales

Support LEAD person for an assigned territory, reporting to the regional Field Sales Support Manager. This role offers an

exciting opportunity to represent Cavalier Distributing Florida and our portfolio in the dynamic Florida market. The ideal

candidate will possess a positive attitude, outgoing personality, professional demeanor, and a willingness to learn on the

job. The Field Sales Support LEAD will be in-market daily assisting the Field Sales Support Team with daily customer

visits, coaching sales and merchandising representatives, promoting company and supplier initiatives, overseeing daily

route sales goals.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with retail partners serving as the connection point with the regional Field Sales Support Manager and Sales Leadership Team to ensure effective product placement, merchandising, reset completions, and promotion of our products.
  • Maintain positive and consistent interaction with store-level and local chain leaders.
  • Execute all sales priorities and initiatives for assigned territory, accomplishing timely and productive execution of weekly/monthly/quarterly sales plans and sales plan tracking.
  • Ensure a culture of learning by coaching and developing team members including account managers, field sales support and merchandising team, as well as delivery team.
  • Provide sales, merchandising, and product knowledge training to FSS Team staff to enhance their understanding and selling skills, as well as performing regular team sell activities and on-the-job coaching/training.
  • Ensure proper retail pricing, signs, and merchandising strategies to optimize product visibility and drive sales in retail stores.
  • Provide a feedback loop to the regional Field Sales Support Manager on market conditions including competition, channel plans, pricing, displays and account architecture, or other issues that impact the business.
  • Utilize product promotional pricing to gain promotional retail and display opportunities in assigned territory.
  • Responsible for appropriate placement and effective utilization of point-of-sale material.
  • Sell and maintain incremental displays with proper pricing and merchandising, as needed.
  • Assess product rotation on shelf and in back room to maximize product freshness and maintain compliance with Quality Control and product code date standards.
  • Manage out-of-code or product breakage returns per company standards.
  • Communicate daily/weekly/monthly account activities to appropriate parties through pre-plans and account/market recaps, as well as assisting FSS Team in executing pre-plans and account recaps.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal Cavalier teammates to ensure effective merchandising and delivery of our products.
  • Conduct product tastings and demonstrations to educate retailers and consumers to promote brand awareness, and other projects or duties as assigned.
  • Represent Cavalier Distributing Florida standards every day in market, at industry events and trade shows as required.

Type of person we are looking for:

  • Candidate must be energetic, competitive, and passionate about a career in sales.
  • Previous experience with outside field sales, preferably in the craft beer industry with a wholesaler or brewery supplier
  • People who can work autonomously and be self-motivated.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in team management, account sales management, merchandising, retail sales, service industry or any other experience working with consumer-packaged goods.
  • Positive attitude and outgoing personality. Detail oriented.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn, take direction and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite with the ability to utilize company-issued technology.
  • Must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and must be able to pass a post-offer background check.
  • Must have reliable automobile transportation, maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license, and maintain auto insurance coverage at least to the minimum amount specified by the Company and state law.

Compensation details: 22-22 Hourly Wage
