Job description

Senior Security Specialist / Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO)

SHINE Systems is seeking a Senior Security Specialist to support our customer by providing physical and personnel security services. In this role, you will serve as a Senior Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) while supporting the Government Program Security Officer (PSO) in executing security requirements.

The CPSO will be responsible for supporting the implementation and administration of security policies and procedures for designated Special Access Programs (SAPs), including associated compartments, sub-compartments, and projects. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with government security directives while supporting secure program operations.

Responsibilities

ยท Review, develop, and maintain documentation related to physical security and facility security requirements

ยท Conduct inspections of secure facilities and ensure compliance with physical security standards, including Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) requirements

ยท Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other security documentation related to facility operations

ยท Train personnel on access control lists (ACLs) and associated access management procedures

ยท Provide training and guidance on courier procedures and secure transportation of classified materials

ยท Perform physical and personnel security functions in support of Special Security Office (SSO) and Special Security Representative (SSR) responsibilities

ยท Support program security operations and ensure adherence to established SAP security policies and requirements

ยท Assist with maintaining security compliance across program activities and facilities

Required Qualifications

ยท Minimum 5 years of experience working with government security databases, such as DISS

ยท Minimum 5 years of experience working with JADE, Scatter Castles, and JPAS

ยท Strong experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP) and SCIF accreditation activities

ยท Experience preparing, maintaining, and submitting security documentation in accordance with ICD 705, DoDD 5205.07, and related security directives

ยท Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

ยท Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) training highly desired

ยท Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) strongly desired

ยท Experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAPs) and related security operations

ยท Experience supporting SCIF accreditation processes and inspections

ยท Experience serving as an SSO or SSR in government or contractor roles

ยท Experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) or the Intelligence Community

ยท Excellent written and verbal communication skills

ยท Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision

Required Security Clearance

ยท Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly

Education

ยท Bachelor's degree preferred

Compensation & Pay Scale:

  • Salary Range: $55,000 to $130,000

  • Determination: The final salary offered will be based on the awarded contract funding and the selected candidate's experience, education, and geographic location.
