Mountrail McKenzie Human Service Zone is seeking a dedicated and passionate CPS Supervisor for the Child Welfare/Family Services Team to support Child Protective Services. Our mission is to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families by providing advocacy, resources, and education while promoting stability and community connections.
CPS Supervisor duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide supervision, direction, and oversight to a team of CPS case managers providing assessment and investigation of reports of child abuse and neglect.
- Mentor, develop, and evaluate team member performance to enhance skills and abilities.
- Provide CPS assessment expertise and case consultation to support quality service delivery and successful program outcomes.
- Ensure program quality, compliance, and adherence to laws, policies, procedures, and program objectives.
- Provide effective communication, professional representation, and active collaboration with agency and community partners.
- Maintain flexibility in support of emergency response planning and crisis intervention which may include some non-traditional work hours.

You should be highly organized, self-motivated, and skilled in managing time and priorities effectively. You should possess strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills. You will also need to have a strong understanding of program policies, laws, and service practices.
To be considered for this position:
- You must have a bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, behavioral health, applied behavior analysis, nursing (bachelor level degree) or criminal justice.
- Candidates must also have three (3) years of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager. A master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of this work experience requirement.
The successful applicant must complete Child Welfare certification.
The successful applicant must pass a standard background, motor vehicle, and criminal record check. Individuals must also maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Individuals may be required to work some non-traditional hours.
