Job description

Responsibilities
The System Sepsis Operational Manager is an individual with health systems knowledge who works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide clinical and operational expertise in the care of sepsis patients. The manager is expected to engage and establish professional relationships with the sepsis physician champion, medical/support staff and other key stakeholders throughout the system to ensure the sepsis program is meeting the needs of the organization. The manager will facilitate and participate in various meeting series to evaluate outcomes, review and update sepsis related policies and procedures, implement evidence-based, best practice protocols and provide input into the maintenance, optimization and enhancement of the sepsis program. The position will assist with process improvement activities which include assignments to various departments to improve quality and performance outcomes, such as excess days reduction. The manager will ensure the program is current and compliant with all governmental and other regulatory requirements. In summation, the manager will serve as the operational subject matter expert and primary point of contact for all matters related to the system sepsis program.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Systems, Engineering, Healthcare/Business Administration or related field Required
  • Master's Degree in Health Systems, Engineering, Healthcare/Business Administration or related field Preferred
Work Experience
  • 5 years progressively responsible professional work experience involving project management, quality, or process improvement with strong organizational, communication and prioritization skills Required
  • Experience with data analysis, research and previous quality improvement work Preferred
  • Clinical experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure if candidate is an RN Required
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification-IASSC Preferred or
  • CPHQ - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality Preferred
