## Sales Associate – Food CPG

### About Us
We are a growing food CPG company focused on expanding our retail footprint, strengthening distributor partnerships, and developing new sales channels. We are looking for an ambitious, relationship-driven Sales Associate who is eager to grow with our team and help scale our sales efforts across Southern California and beyond.
### Position Overview
The Sales Associate will support and expand our sales operations by managing distributor and retailer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and helping execute sales initiatives across multiple channels. This role is ideal for someone with 2–3 years of sales experience in the food or CPG industry who is motivated, coachable, and ready to take ownership in a fast-growing environment.
### Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts
* Support sales growth initiatives across grocery, specialty, foodservice, and emerging sales channels
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market expansion strategies
* Conduct regular store visits, distributor meetings, and customer follow-ups
* Assist with promotional planning, merchandising execution, and product launches
* Coordinate and support promotional activities including temporary price reductions, off-invoice promotions, demos, and retail programs
* Work with distributor partners such as KeHE, UNFI, and regional distributors to support account growth and promotional execution
* Understand and assist with retailer onboarding and launch requirements, including promotional calendars, item setup coordination, and basic retailer/distributor processes
* Monitor sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends
* Coordinate with internal teams on inventory, forecasting, and customer support
* Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings
* Travel within assigned territories as needed to support sales efforts
### Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree required
* 2–3 years of experience in sales, preferably within food, beverage, or CPG industries
* Experience working with food distributors such as KeHE, UNFI, or similar distributor networks preferred
* Familiarity with retail promotions, off-invoice programs, and basic retailer launch processes
* Understanding of distributor-retailer workflows and sales support execution
* Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
* Self-starter mentality with a strong desire to learn and grow
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; CRM experience is a plus
* Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly
