Position Summary:

The Sales Development Manager is a high-impact, full-cycle sales role responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive lead generation, expert deal execution, and long-term account management. They will be a pivotal leader in driving the growth and market expansion of Brothers Internationals branded and private label business, and may be expected to manage brokered accounts. This position requires a results-driven professional with deep experience in CPG sales, broker management, and a proven ability to achieve aggressive sales targets.


Essential Functions:

Lead Generation & Market Development

  • Strategic Prospecting: Identify and qualify high-value leads through research, networking, and outbound outreach (email, social selling, and cold calling) for Brothers branded and private label products.
  • Funnel Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, ensuring a consistent flow of prospects to meet monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new market segments and opportunities for expansion.

Relationship Management and Development

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and lead relationship manager for all assigned accounts representing Brothers All Natural branded products.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to review performance, address challenges, and align strategic priorities. Proactively identify opportunities for account expansion within new and existing accounts.
  • Provide ongoing training and education on Brothers All Natural product lines, including new product introductions, sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and competitive pricing.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement annual and quarterly sales plans and targets for each assigned account, aligned with overall company objectives.
  • Collaborate with accounts to create and execute effective sales strategies, promotional programs, and merchandising initiatives to maximize sales volume, distribution, and market share.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure Brothers All Natural product messaging, promotions, and new product launches are effectively communicated and executed by brokers.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Data Analytics to provide brokers with necessary reporting tools and insights.
  • Communicate market feedback, competitive intelligence, and customer needs internal teams to inform future strategies.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.MS a Plus!
  • 3-5 years of progressive sales experience in the CPG industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing sales accounts and driving performance.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving distribution growth for branded products.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of retail channels (Grocery, Club, Drug, Convenience, Specialty) and how to effectively navigate them with a broker model.
  • Proficiency with sales tools and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Deep understanding of the CPG industry, including supply chain, merchandising, category management, and trade promotion strategies for branded products.
  • Strong grasp of retail dynamics, customer segmentation, and consumer buying behaviors.
  • Familiarity with syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI) and its application in sales strategy.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and influence external sales brokers.
  • Superior negotiation and strategic selling skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, identify trends and develop actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence and indirect management.


Compensation:In the spirit of pay transparency, this is a commissioned sales role. The target starting pay for this role is $30k base + commissions (target $80-100k/year)

The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.
