Job description

The Administrative Sales Assistant (ASA) is responsible for handling administrative tasks, supporting client service and sales departments, and providing professional representation through receptionist functions.


Key Responsibilities

 

·        Perform administrative tasks such as:

o   Supporting Business Managers with - contracts, new item forms, planning systems, and price increases.

o   Maintaining accurate client and product data within company systems.

o   Escalate discrepancies, client questions, and concerns to the Sales Assistant Supervisor (SAS).

o   Supporting client service functions including orders, deductions, and related documentation.

o   Answering phones professionally and courteously.

o   Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks in alignment with Kroger, client, and company requirements.

o   Implement management directions on a timely basis.

o   Represent OSMG ethically and professionally.

Qualifications

 

Experience

 

·        Preferred: three (3) years’ experience in the food industry and training in customer service/administrative techniques.

·        Familiarity with food broker industry and administrative processes.

Skills

 

·        Exceptional organization and time management.

·        Strong documentation and follow-through.

·        Strong listener and excellent oral and written communications.

·        Professional phone etiquette.

·        Pleasant, friendly, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

·        Effective under pressure and a problem solver.

 

Education:

·        High School Diploma or GED required.

·        Equivalent combinations of education and experience accepted.

Technical:

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and client software systems (CRM?)
