Job description

We are in need of a Patient Service Representative (Receptionist) Bilingual Spanish a plus.

We have two offices: Illinois Masonic Medical Center, 3000 N. Halsted St. 60657 & Swedish Covenant Hospital located at 5140 N. California Ave. 60625. The part time possibly/full time position requires the individual to be available during the evening (4:00PM โ€“ 8:00PM) and on Saturdays.

Starting rate: $14.00-$18.00 depending on qualifications. Generous benefit package including health insurance is available and 401K. Rate will increase after conclusion of training period.

The position requires:

Greeting patients, registering patients, collecting payments and cash management, answering and appropriately managing incoming telephone calls, scheduling patient appointments, knowledge of physician billing, insurance, EMR and multi-line telephones a must. Canidate must be able to read, write, and speak perfect English.

Personal characteristics and competencies include: Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgment, common sense, independent thinking and creativity when resolving customer issues; Ability to effectively handle challenging situations; Ability to balance multiple priorities; Ability to use personal computers and software applications, i.e., electronic medical records system; Must be able to type at least 40 WPM, and pass drug and background checks.
