Job description

Description:

The Instructor is responsible for developing and conducting training for new Data Center customers and providing continuing education in a classroom or web-based setting for existing customers and DCI employees. This position will be responsible for developing and authoring online learning content (eLearning), conducting system audits and preparing formal audit findings reports for customers, as well as providing associated telephone support for customers with questions about processing systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Classroom/Web-based Instruction

  • Conducts classroom and web-based training to customers and DCI employees in the function and use of DCI applications.
  • Prepares instructional material and course outlines pertaining to DCI applications.
  • Communicates the implications and effects of federal regulations that relate to DCI applications.
  • Presents new bank education information and instructional materials using PCs, Internet, and other tools.
  • Prepares training materials and leads presentations and education sessions at the annual DCI Conference.

Online Learning Content (eLearning)

  • Develops, authors, and maintains online courses that provide recorded, interactive instruction to customers and DCI employees in the function and use of DCI applications.

Operational Reviews

  • Conducts on-site system usage reviews with DCI customers to improve customer knowledge and understanding of DCI software applications.
  • Completes written reports for customers following on-site observation.

Product Development

  • Assists with design and testing of new products and enhancements to DCI processing systems.

Customer Support

  • Receives, logs, and responds to telephone and written correspondence from DCI customers regarding questions about DCI products and reports.
  • Maintains and strives to improve customer knowledge and understanding of DCI software applications.
  • Researches and resolves customer questions and concerns.
  • Monitors DCI application performance and communicates any problems and concerns to Product Manager.
  • Provides input and makes suggestions for User Documentation.
  • Provides support to on-site project group and conversion teams.

Other

  • Provides back-up support for taking calls and performing functions and duties of other Customer Services Representatives as needed.
  • Ensures that personal work area and other shared work areas are maintained in a neat and organized manner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Requirements:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • BBA or BS in Business, Information Systems, Education, or equivalent work experience.
  • One to three years of experience in business or educational training and/or equivalent experience in a financial institution.

POSITION KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • General knowledge of all areas of the banking industry and related financial data processing helpful.
  • Knowledge and understanding of bank compliance regulations that relate to DCI applications helpful.
  • Presentation and information delivery skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Classroom management skills helpful.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team; appropriate conduct of interpersonal relations.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, both in person and through use of telephone.
  • Advanced PC operation and testing skills, word-processing, and spreadsheet software proficiency; Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, and Windows applications required.
  • Online course authoring software experience helpful.
  • Sound analytical problem determination and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective planning, coordination, time management, and organization skills.
  • Effective communication skills in writing and speaking clearly and concisely.
  • Strong documentation and written communication skills.
