Job description

Provide operational support for loyalty program promotions.

This position will work with systems and data to implement digital coupon programs, create and administer accounts and coordinate vendor deal implementation through collaboration with Category Managers.

Stong Analytical Mindset and Time Management a must.


  • Configure and build coupon offers each week for the MDI Loyalty group as well as custom store-specific coupons.
  • Assist with retailer training of coupon programs as well as coupon troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with external parties to troubleshoot systems issues when they arise, including coupon platform third parties, POS providers, and store personnel.
  • Collaborate with Category Managers and Ad Groups to determine digital offers and suggest strategies to promote growth of coupon program engagement and results.
  • Assists store with discovery documents to begin implementation of coupon program.
  • Collaborates with vendors and category management teams during vendor joint planning meetings to provide content for weekly coupon offerings.
  • Provides internal and external communication plans for coupon item substitutions.
  • Works with procurement and buying groups for warehouse projections on programs such as Free Item Friday, Throwback Thursday, Produce, Meat, and Meal Deal offers.
  • Maintaining program documentation, including but not limited to, digital coupon calendar, offer submission reports, coupon thumbnail graphics, and coupon program graphics.
  • Executes weekly My MDI coupon document uploads to ensure all retailers have up to date information on coupon offers and updates.
  • Supports departmental accounting personnel with timely and accurate reconciliation detail for coupons.
  • Assists departmental analysts with tracking key performance indicators such as customer engagement to measure campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

  • Knowledge associated with a bachelor’s degree in communication or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
  • Customer support or service experience in a related field
  • Strong mindfulness for daily deliverables and deadlines, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
